When you got the Magma cubes, you didn't have to build a farm, you could have just gone to a Treasure Bastion, because in the loot room they have Magma cube spawners. So then you could just a portal right next to the spawner so when the Magma cubes spawn they would just go through the portal and into Clyde's City.
