I think we should try to fix stuff ESPECIALLY when there’s little to lose, like you already have a dead microwave.

Man I just went through the same process with my dryer machine! Ended up being a broken belt and a $10 fix😁

A piece of plywood over the stovetop is a good idea too, so if you do drop it you don't damage the stove. Especially those glass top ones!

Usually I buy those over the range mixrowaves at lowes for $50. Generally some poor soul had dropped it while trying to tilt it in on the bracket and dented in the rear corner. Good thing there isnt anything there and you can just tap that out - not that you'll see it anyway.
