@@Richard-eg6ml yeah, maybe it was a client side crash. or the effect of them conceding at the exact moment they hit 0 hp. or alt f4 at the last moment which might have left the game in limbo. due to all the rng effects still in play.

@@Jesse-op2wd Not technically, He's referring to when Toast found a weird interaction allowing him a free win by disconnecting his opponent. He abused it in the ranked ladder and showed how to do it on stream so they banned him for that, not the bug itself.

its maybe cuz the game already predetermined that each scroll of wonder would draw into a scroll of wonder and lastly into fatigue. however, circumstances made your hand full and shuffled a card that was not a scroll of wonder. so the game was still waiting for everything to finish happening up to that very last draw, which is a fatigue, but didnt reach it because the chain of scroll of wonders got broken cuz of academic espionage + hand full. so it got stuck waiting for something to happen that wouldnt happen, which is continuing the chain of wonders into fatigue.

I think you're close. I think Academic Espionage was what caused it, but probably because it was played after the opponent was declared dead. Thus it tried to put a deck from a dead player into yours, which probably caused some sort of bug.

@@WufeiLord espionage doesn't look at your opponent's deck though. It looks at your opponent's class.

@Marc-Olivier Rodrigue Yes, but as soon as the opponent was declared dead the animations and the draws should stop but instead the espionage was cast, filled the deck with the Priest cards and it caused some sort of bug of something like "Hand is full - Can NOT cast any more Scroll of Wonders" without taking into account that enemy player is below 0 Health.

To further emphasize my point, I am sure you have seen instances of enemies or yourself is declared dead yet the animations continue to play up until the portrait of the hero explodes and the winner is declared. For example, Kazakus potion of deal x damage + draw x cards deals the damage to player and it draws at least one card before the portrait explodes.

BlizzHQ: "2 Days until release. Did you fix all bugs?" "Yes sir. ! We even tripplechecked every interaction." "You better have. If I see another bug-video from Toast.." *You got mail* "Uhm... about that...." "........... IT'S NOT EVEN OUT YET!" "So, back to jail for Toast?" ".......Yes" "Uhm and about us?" "Yes"

I wanna say that I've adopted this deck and I've been using it in Wild ranked for goofs. I climb with Aggro mage and troll with this deck. It's VERY fun. I did replace one acolyte with an ice block for some extra survivability.

Home alone 2 parents: WE DID IT AGAIN!

Before anyone else comments this. Toast knows why Psychic Scream cleared his board. His deck was full (60 cards), which he knows since the deck is made to be full of Scroll of Wonders. It's called "60 Scrolls" because that's the maximum cards for the deck. If he didn't know about this maximum, he would've called it "65 Scrolls" since that's how many scrolls would be in the deck without the limit.

Blizzard: Okay! We should have a flawless new release! Toast: Hold my beer.

Toast's decks tend to be the definition of edge cases lol I bet Blizzard QA love this guy.

Dunno if anyone wants to give some help but; I play mostly single player modes and tavern brawls and know nothing about drafting nor really care about the meta but I've a good bit of blue stuff to craft cards saved up and wondering what are some of the main expensive cards I can get which are strong?

I think what caused it was the Academic espionage that caused regular non-deck-of-wonders cards to be shuffled in the Deck. so when you drew one of those it should have ended the Deck of Wonders stream. Maybe it bypassed one of their return functions and the code is still waiting for Deck of Wonders to end.

Played this deck a few times, the two times I got the combo to work, the first time I was against a priest who was literally AFK the whole game and we tied, the second game, both heroes and most of the board on both sides remained alive, somehow. I was able to win via minion damage after everything went off, but still.

I usually reconnect in same situations. It works against shudderwock earlier.

I bet what happened was that when you have any number of wonders, the game immediately decides what is going to happen for each deck of wonders, it plans the animations it’s going to use, and determines the outcome. However, it didn’t plan for an academic espionage that would randomly shuffle new cards into the deck and that would stop the deck of wonders. Basically, it’s stuck waiting to draw a deck of wonders

so what i think happened here is that although toast won, the animations took so long that the turn timer for toast expired, and either went into the dead opponents turn, or back to his, which cant happen cause the game has already ended cause lethal dmg was dealt.

Didn't even know there is such a thing as full deck. This is why we can't have fun things.

My guess for what happened here is Toast won the moment the turn transitioned, and the match closed before the animations finished and the client screwed up since it wanted to finish the animations and thus desynced from the server.
