Rarely ever do doves fight to the death. When i first introduced my female dove to Birdie, he immediately got territorial and started attacking her, but they eventually became friends and then lovey-dovey. The most damage the male will do to the intruder is pull out feathers.

I had a syringe that had about about a 1/2'' plunger. I cut off the end with a hot knife so the opening was full sized. Then I would mix up a small amount of Baby Parrot Food and put some into the opening of the syringe. Over this I took a rubber fingertip cut off a glove and put it over the syringe end. I carefully snipped the tip of the glove with scissors and pulled it down onto the syringe body. Then I would force the food to fill the tip of he glove finger. My baby dove learned how to eat from that for several weeks. It was a lot of trouble cleaning everything up including the mess on the dove's beak. He loved it warm. Washing his beak in a warm wet napkin helped. After about a month he just absolutely refused to eat from the syringe and went straight to the bowl of parakeet seeds. You posted a year ago. I hope all is well. My dove is 2-1/2 years old now and enjoys landing on everybody's head. He's a showoff.

I want these Doves
Do they get along? My male dove comes off as very very territorial. He attacks anything white he encounters and bow coos at it, he's about 12 years old now and he's been alone is whole life. I was thinking of getting another dove but I'm afraid he's gonna kill it lol.

Rarely ever do doves fight to the death. When i first introduced my female dove to Birdie, he immediately got territorial and started attacking her, but they eventually became friends and then lovey-dovey. The most damage the male will do to the intruder is pull out feathers.
Very nice !!❤❤❤
So nice!
What type of doves are these? I always loved the wild Eurasian collared dove and this looks similar. Would be a nice pet

Change their drinking water in the afternoon and at bedtime so that they get fresh clean water to drink early morning.

What kind of dove is the left one with the funny noise like its laughing ? so cute. Are they same kind ? whats the difference of these both ?
Do you use a heater?
I'm trying to avoid touching mine with dirty hands precisely to avoid her/his cost from looking messy. They are incredibly soft.

Any animal that was raised from birth by humans will think itself is human, and thus have no problem being handled. It's called imprinting, and many wild animals can be imprinted.

+Oasis Spirit that's not what is imprinting in biology/psychology. The animal does not think itself as human, it just trusts an conditionally good specific species members.
