    Wouldn't it be better to try this with a tougher cut of steak, to see if it actually makes a difference?

    Usually you buttermilk a non-fat steak, like venison. You turned wagyu into yogurt!

    Chicken Fried Steak: The process of adding a coating to meat was first done with chicken. It was so successful that later, someone wanted to do the same for beef but to make others understand what they intended they referenced the only thing that used that process before. Thus, to Chicken Fry something is to coat it in batter and fry it. That's how we got Chicken Fried Steak.

    I have my doubt when someone say "To tenderize the meat." when the meat is wagyu? nope not gonna happen, it break apart? yes.

    There's chicken fried steak & chicken fried chicken. The reason they call it chicken fried is because it's the same process as frying chicken. So yeah it makes perfect sense. If you wanna keep your steak from curling like that cut the fat around the edge about 1" apart.. Keep up the great work Roel. 👍👍

    I was not surprised by that outcome. High quality steak is always best when all you do is grill it then season it! Keep that buttermilk for Chicken!

    In Texas it's called chicken fried steak and is the benchmark of how local restaurants are judged. However, you must have cream gravy on it.

    They call it chicken fried steak, because you use the breading process that you would use to fry a chicken. Down south in the USA, that definitely includes buttermilk, along with seasoned flour and an egg wash.
