    Not one comment about your buddy Bee throwing a 300. He clearly is an inexperienced bowler but still does quite well. Its great to see. Most beginners think they need to throw it 22mph and hook the whole lane to be good. He threw it slow and up the middle with low revs but kicked ass. Congrats to him.

    Bowling a 300 even on 9 No-Tap isn't automatic even for the professionals due to bad breaks & poor shots which everyone makes. So it's a pretty decent effort for a guy that is probably on 130-140 average to shoot 12 shots in a row, at least a 9.

Keep on watching Darren Tang videos and your average will increase after a year and half. Thank you Darren for getting me into bowling!!! I was going to take him out for lunch and/or dinner on me. Make sure you check the rule book for the league on the switching hands. I looked it up in the past in USBC rules it was something like both hands could be used, but you just couldn't switch ball by ball. I think it's by game. You typically will need to have a separate average set if switching hands.

  • @BearBlair

    @BearBlair

    11 ай бұрын

    Yeah that was odd, I've never heard of that rule that whatever hand you started the league with you needed to finish with. I've always been under the assumption that you couldn't switch mid game, and that you had to let everyone know you were doing so after the game was over. Also there's no way that this is a USBC Sanctioned league night because USBC doesn't sanction 9-Pin No tap games. Those game cannot count towards your avg making that night a non-sanctioned night. Furthermore putting into question why they enforced that rule at all.. so bazar.

    No tap can be fun. Around 40 years ago, after a Saturday night league, about a dozen of us would throw a couple of dollars in the pot and have some fun. One game we decided to draw partners and throw no tap scotch doubles. We both hit 9 with the first ball and ended up splitting the pot with a 300 and never knocked them all down. Only time I ever took a pot.

    Out of my last 3 league nights, I averaged 160 on Cheetah 35, averaged 118 on house shot, and like 90 on Bear 41. My thumb was so swollen I could barely throw on Bear, and on the house shot it was literally like 90° in the bowling alley and the high game/series that wasn't prebowled was a 202/575

    All leagues should put a cap on the handicap. Max score should be 300…no matter what. You can have your 40 pins of handicap, but if you miraculously shoot a 279… your score should not be 319… as it makes it LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for low handicap/scratch bowlers to win. I understand handicap is necessary for leagues to be competitive, but we all should have the same opportunity to win.
