I just noticed recently how h&m and all the other cheap stores sell these knock off nikes vans adidas type shoes that basically look like what bape and mschif are doing. They just look like knock offs

You said it yourself at the end of the video. These are nothing but trend chasing shoes that people will forget about in a week. They go against everything ACRNM stood for, pure show, no function, no added value. From the packaging to the zippers you can bend and shape. At least they only made 250 of them so there is less pollution once they end up on the landfill.

If it wouldn't be so acronym af1 "inspired" it would at least stand a little on its own and wouldn't be 100% terrible, instead just 90%

To me, they look like MSCHF doing a parody of ACR.

I like deconstructed stuff, I like a more whacky style, I like acronym, but these dont hit at all for me. I just think they look 'bad' and honestly, a little less acronym and more mschf, like someone there found a found of lunar forces and said "what can we do with this, get acr on the phone". That said, still a great video and a great run down on the shoe Ant, thankyou!

Even the shoes that looked like braces were kinda robotic looking. It can definitely fit an Acronym aesthetic. These, however, lack any of that vibe. They're just messy.

I was a bit torn on this sneaker, but in the end I really don’t like these shoes. I feel like they are derivative and I don’t mess with the aesthetic. I haven’t seen any fits where the shoes look great and just feel like a “HEY LOOK AT MY WACKY SHOES!” This could be my overall distain for iconic fashion or anything mschf does.

at 250 units, I think it's cool that they go all out, since, with such as small number, they will probably invest in making more versions, rather that more volume, so If I missed this one, maybe in a few months they make a new similar but different one, that I may even like more...

I'd actually say that the branding on these is less obvious than the Lunar Forces and Low Blazers. The swoop on the sides of those stands out a lot more to me. That, coupled with Nike's logo being ubiquitous compared to Acronym and MSCHF mostly just being known by internet weirdos.

Your channel is what got me into Acronym a couple of years back, so I have to mention that it feels like lately you don't want to criticize them as it might hurt your influencer status. Its getting hard to take some videos (like this one) seriously when it feels like almost 99% a commercial.

Have never been disappointed with my Mizuno and Asics, even Puma (x Pleasures) has some cool timeless releases. Never been a fan of New Balance silhouettes, but I grew to love the 9060s in specific colorways: the sole "clawing" the midsole is fire.

I really like the look of these, but I'm a sucker for outlandish statement footwear and accessories because they're what make fashion fun and artistic and personal for me, just like you said at the end there. However, I also feel like a lot of those unique pieces come in a hypebeast fomo wrapper, that I just can't be bothered to engage with. And that's why I DIY 🤘

I have these shoes and I believe it’s a brilliant statement regarding the industry, but also a creative shoe one showing Acronyms playful side coming from a point of originality something that the industry is missing and is relying on nostalgia and trend not making risks to make a buck. they look way better on feet too, and no one mentioned the metal shank that is on the zippers so you can move the zipper how you like!

I like a classic canvas basketball or tennis shoe, think converse original or sketchers originals, but these plastic fantastic foot monstrosities make no sense to me. I prefer leather shoes for daily wear. A classic pair of penny loafers are always easy to put on and comfy to wear while looking fqncy.

Even though the Nike Presto/Acronym is a way better collab, these are kinda cool-looking too. I do dig the extended zipper, but putting it on the inner side is a complete deal-breaker for me.
