In 1971 I bought a new in the box 1969 Omega Seamaster 120 that has been my EDC watch for most of my life.

What’s up my friend. I’ve been looking at the invicta 1953 reference number 31290, looks like the original submariner from 1953. It has a decent movement, Seiko NH35. Looks pretty good for $130 USD

PO is a way better looking watch than the sub. The specs are better, and the 39.5mm、42mm versions all wear better too.

Beautiful piece mate. I’ve always loved it. A great friend of mine has the 42mm version, which inspired my watch collecting journey. I’ve never owned this particular model, but have a 2254 which has similar vibes.

Good looking watch, but far too heavy. And the finish and bracelet quality doesn’t even come close to a sub. The planet oceans in general are way too heavy, Rolex achieves superior water resistance with lighter watches. Not even a contest.
