I love that you're the only watch nerd getting these frankly ridiculous watches in and giving them such high quality production and presentation. It's easy to tell that you do this stuff for YOU mainly, as well as intriguing audiences with pieces that aren't "normally covered". I certainly appreciate that your not making videos for clicks. Thanks dude - what a badass watch that ultra deep is!

I tried the orange version on recently and I was shocked at how much smaller it looked on wrist to what I was expecting. The steel looks fabulous and the fine chamfered edges on the bracelet are extremely well done.

I have an Ultra Deep! The same exact one. I was torn between the titanium and the steel. I love the way the titanium looks better but I hate, like you said, how you can't put a bracelet on it...just nato straps. It's a chunk but it's super comfortable. I always thought it was a unique watch but was never in the market for it. After figuring out the hard way that I would not be getting my holy grail watch, a Rolex 126622, and after now boycotting Rolex, I opted for the Omega. I couldn't be any happier. I have a small wrist and it fits surprisingly well.

This watch was made for Victor Vescovo - how did you miss that! He's been to the deepest part of each ocean, the highest mountains on each continent, north and south poles, into space and has done the longest mountain ascent in Hawaii - from the base of the mountain deep undersea to the summit. He is the worlds greatest modern explorer.

Good video! Ps. DSV stands for diving support vessel. The divers stay on board in their saturation chamber their entire trip where they stay under pressure and go up and down to their worksite in what's called a bell. Fun fact, DSVs also have hyperbaric lifeboats, so the divers can stay pressurized if they have to abandon ship for whatever emergency. Keep up the good work!

I've tried this watch on a couple times lately and the temptation is growing despite its price. Solid, simple (no useless "complications", and no date to fiddle with, thank God!), tough & durable. That the titanium model can only be worn with NATO straps (I hate them), plus the fact that it has no crown guards, knocks titanium out of the race in my case. But the steel version is not too heavy if you're used to wearing large, heavy strainless steel diver's watches. Only real downside: For wearers of long-sleeve dress shirts it's impracticably thick. Otherwise, this watch is beautiful but straightforward, always readable and simply very practical. Mainly because it's so rock solid... not because anyone expects to go down 6000 meters and come back alive.

This seems better designed that the 300M. I own a blue dial Seamaster 300M and a 41mm black dial Tag Heuer Aquaracer and I find myself reaching for my Tag more often. While my 300M has a gorgeous blue ceramic dial, that's where the fun ends. Granted it has the micro adjust that I find very useful throughout the day but two big problems I find are the weight and the massive clasp. The 42mm size just barely fits my 6.5 inch wrist and I'm always aware of the weight of the watch on my wrist. The large clasp means a large area for scratches and fewer links to go around my wrist robbing me of the pleasure of admiring the bracelet. I find the non-tapering bracelet ok but I don't care for the helium escape valve and the tiny date window. For all the crap that Tag receives, their Aquaracer is sensibly proportioned, has a decent sized clasp, a magnified date window, lovely matt finished steel bracelet and feels substantial but not so heavy that I'm always aware of it when I wear the watch.

The water pressure at a depth of 6000 mtrs is eq to 47450 Newtons/sq inch on the watch face, and that pressure is also eq to a waterfall pressure from a height of 593 mtrs … this clearly implies that such a Watch is fully capable of withstanding pressure of a crushing 100ft Seawave and/or a Shockwave of 194dB in real life .. thus the Watch is fully justified for its construction . . !!!

I just dont see the point of this watch the deepest a human could theoretically go is 1000m for saturation diving but for practical purposes they don't go beyond 300m. I rather they lighten the watch for a practclie depth so its easier to wear. A 200 mph Ferrari might not be practical but I can at least you can use it at a track (although who bothers when there's plenty of highway available). I feel like they just made these for guys like James camron or people who've don't the titanic sub dive.

I’m not a diver, and you’re a smart guy, but at 100 feet per day, decompression time at a depth rating of 20,000 feet is very simply 200 days, not 1600.

This watch is based off such a laughable concept. But, considering how laughable mechanical wrist watches that cost more than $20 are, it fits right in.

How tall? If too tall the proportions can be way off.

@@michaelriera6277 I meant 39.5. It’s 14mm thick. Considering the dept rh rating that’s not bad.

So you were wrong in your initial opinion? There are a lot things more pointless in a watch. Nobody actually uses a chronograph. Compass bezel is the most pointless. You could always get a Rolex Deepsea if you want something more wearable ; )
