I bought the lowest mile, wrecked auction Civic Si in the country
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I did say the parts car was going to fix the exact opposite car. I think a low mileage, manual, rust-free, clear title sport model is as opposite as you can get from an automatic transmission, rusty, 400k, salvage title commuter car.
I need a winter daily, so I found a fun one. Hopefully I can at least keep it through the winter. If not, I don't know how to price the lowest mile 2007 Civic Si in the country (by over 40k miles). It is also the lowest mile one in any salvage auction by around 100k. I may not even have to update that; I have been watching these for a while 100K is about the lowest I have seen and that was gone a long time ago.
It is an easy fix but a similar job to the Lexus IS250 we just did. This may give you some insight into how manufactures build their vehicles to accomplish the same thing but with different methods.

Watching Scott work has almost caused me to have delusions of adequacy, but for now I'm sticking with mechanical fixes. I can't afford to drive $350 trucks if I don't do the work myself. Pine Hollow Diagnostics has helped me with electrical issues that I would have shied away from in the past.

I hate to be that guy but I would've made it cosmetically decent and used it as my daily with that kind of mileage. I love these affordable car rebuilds. Sure it's cool to see someone fix a wrecked Ferrari but these everyday attainable cars seem more satisfying since most people can afford them.
I can only imagine that cars life. Purchased new by an older lady who loved it and sparingly drove it to the grocery store. Wanted a 5 speed to relive her glory days. The only one available in the 5 speed was the SI. Gave it to her 16 year old nephew and he destroyed it in a matter of 6 weeks.

I always know your rebuilds are going to be as good as new (or better). Very therapeutic to watch it all come together. Who ever buys them is getting a well sorted car.
Just another great beginning of a bill. Can’t tell you how much I enjoy your channel. By the looks of it most of the comments everybody else is saying. I guess that’s what you get when you do the best work. See you in the next installment.

Amazing work Scott! Thanks for bringing Smiley back as I'm a huge Fan!!!
Outstanding rebuild Scott! I bought the 2002 version of this car brand new. I drove it to work every day for ten years! Then even though I had bought a brand new Accord I still kept it for another five years! Still running great at the time but since I was insuring 3 cars and could only drive one at a time I regretfully sold it! It was a great car! I am looking forward to seeing you finish up this Civic and give it a new lease on life!
Nice work Scott 👏 Have a great weekend!

So many people would have chained that to a light pole and yanked that out as much as 10 mins would get them then run down Lowes and get 'em some drywall mud and caked it all in there. Interesting, you do good work and have the correct equipment. I would not hesitate to buy one of your cars..
Glad to see you are doing it all right, by the book and safety conscious. Next installment will be fun, I've heard that that Scotts Honda emporium guy can be a bit of a hard ball on prices for Honda's as they are all a funny size bolts and flimsy rusty panels.
love your work and comedy Scott well done
I like watching the Honda rebuilds. I've been a customer of theirs since 1981 (Civic 1500GL), and although I have a fleet of cars these days, two of them are Hondas, and those are the ones that get driven most often.

Modified and been supercharged since 2017. Car only has 74XXX miles. Car is was a daily for the first few years of ownership. Then show car. And finally track only as of 2018. She’s going turbo in 2023.

Great content. Thanks
Scott, you are such a talent. Thank the Pizza Girl for keeping you in line!
NICE JOB
It's sad to see how many insurance companies will write off an older vehicle like this simply because in their eyes the payoff isn't worth the money input. We ran into it years ago with my parents really sweet 72 D100 that someone stopped in front of - all it needed was the radiator and support, but because it was over 10 years old at the time, they totaled it instead of having the front end pieces (that were plentiful in our area) replaced. I'm glad to see people like Scott take the time to restore these vehicles and get them back out on the road! If we had someone like Scott in our area, chances are the truck would still be on the road today since it had been babied all of its life.

Nice!
Nice Civic. Wish I really could justify another car.
Except for a Renault R8 and a Triumph mk1, my cars were all Japanese, my present one being a Kia Cerato. When you were working on the boot lid I remembered an irritating thing about the boot lids of these cars is that the hinges protrude into the load section. When loading the boot, you always have to check that your luggage isn't in the way of the hinges. Other brands, like Volkswagen, have the hinges out of the way.
