Great car. I love my Z3. The 3.0 and M models are the most desirable so you got a good one. Be mindful of the rear subframe though. The welds tend to give out and the subframe will detach from the rear diff.

Yeah that's what I've heard, it's the same issues that the e46 has correct? Is that just from regular wear and tear or strictly hard driving?

@@ProjectRacecar2 It's a structural flaw because they based the rear of the car off of the E30. So with the larger engines in the Z3 compared to the E30 there's just too much torque and the E30 structure can't handle it. The rear diff mount detaches from the chassis and the trunk welds give out. This can happen from daily driving. If you drive more spirited or if you take the car on the track, the chances of this failing are much greater. Randy Forbes actually created a reinforcement kit to fix this issue on the Z3. This issue isn't too common on the smaller engines like the 1.9 or 2.3. I myself have a 2.5 and it's possible but I'm not too worried. The issue is very common on the 2.8 and larger sized engines though.
