I bought myself an 18th-century dress and sewed some period accessories!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I bought myself an 18th-century dress from Atelier Serraspina on Etsy when Etsy Scandinavia sponsored me with a gift card. Then I made some accessories to go with the dress: an apron, a cap, and a bum pad.

Great choice, that dress suits you perfectly! I also love the embroidered apron, but that's to be expected as I love embroidery too. When is your next re-enacting event?

Since I know nothing of another countries historical costumed events, I just wondered about costumed events and reenactments. Lord knows that in the U.S. there are hundreds of events on any given weekend, not to mention folks just getting together in costume to visit a park or a museum or just go out to tea. Are there any in Finland?

Yes there are. Not perhaps every weekend but quite often if you have outfits for several periods. And once you get to know costuming people it’s easy to organize little events on your own such as those museum visits you mentioned. We also have online meetings and sewing circles. 😀
