I bought my dream car! 2010 Camaro SS review!
Ойын-сауық
Today I review my dream car! I bought this 5th gen 2010 Camaro SS because I have always wanted one since I saw bumblebee in transformers. I made it my dream to own this car ever since. Today I get to share that dream with you!
Its a 6.2L LS3 V8 making 428 horsepower and is paired with a 6 speed manual transmission.

NICE
I grabbed a black 2011 2SS/RS convertible with 36,000 miles on it a year ago. LOVE THIS CAR. The previous owner babied it and added a MagnaFlow exhaust system for me...sounds amazing. I'm only putting about 4K miles per year on it, so it will last me a long time. Fun to drive!
Have had my 2ss for 14 yrs april 4th , love it 115k miles no major problems
I just bought a bone stock 2010 2ss/rs about a yr and a half ago best car i ever owned (had a slk 55 amg nothing but problems) this car has NEVER let me down… i also added long tube headers e85 and a cai pushing 400whp love it. Your going to love it! I did a 2015 front end swap & kept the early rear end
My dream car too…hoping to get one within the next year. 🚗 love that blue!!
Happy for you man. Love the 5th gens. Not gonna lie, I'm peeping at that S10 in the background too.
Congratulations on your new car!! I've had my 2011 2SS/RS 6MT for about 7 years. I love it!! Nice reliable car. I have done a couple of tasteful modifications to mine also. Eibach lowering springs, SLP Loudmouth 2 exhaust, AiRaid intake tube, with a light tune. New sway bars are on the way. I mainly use it for weekend scenic driving.
Good luck with your new ride...I got my 2020 2SS Convertible Feb 2024 Satin Steel Metallic, love it ..no problem with blind spots I just put the top down..
Congratulations bro still happy with your Camaro ❤
Sweet ride! love it
yo nice bro, looks sick
Sweet man. Im also thinking about picking one up
congrats fam ill have mine soon!
L99 is Automatic transmission LS3 is manual. L99camshaft has a smaller duration, a little less HP and Torque and a couple of of the small things. If you upgrade there’s some things that will require you to get an LS3 conversion kit. Another external difference between an SS vs RS is the side of the front bumper. The RS is smooth where the SS has the ridges. Hope you enjoy! 🤘🏼😝🤘🏼She’s beautiful!!
I like camaros man. Congratulations on your dreams car .

That's awesome! What happened to the first one?
Congrats man. I got a 2010 2SS back in 2021. Its my dream car as well. It's such a cool as car man. You'll have a blast with it. 😁 Also, visibility isn't as bad as what people say it is. The only problem I have sometimes is if I pull up too far to a stoplight and have to bend my head down to see it. Lol. Its fine otherwise.
I bought my 2010 Camaro SS in the same color nearly 2 years ago
Do not do a Vanaram intake their is literally no benefit for the airlifter to be placed by the radiator. You could literally get a cheap Air intake and it will produce the same amounts of power. Either a K&N or a cheaper air intake will do. You will never regret a 5th gen SS they're so much fun and if you live in a state where emissions are laxed you can cam it and make it sound INCREDIBLE.

The reason why I wanted to go with vanaram is because they have 2 models. One is just a regular one and like you said would not make much difference. The other is one ment for tuning and is for use with an aftermarket maf sensor. I've seen people get 50 HP just because it's more aftermarket maf sensor friendly.
There's only one reason why guys want this car it's bumblebee

Nice ass exhaust bro 🔥
I love my 2ss I will never get rid of it
I always wanted the 4th gen ss still tryna save up and get one but I might just go with a 2010 ss. It’s a lil newer and more power

Yeah the LS3 is an amazing engine with amazing potential. The 4th gen is still good tho, definitely an underrated car!
I’ve seen ppl add a full grill over the headlights didn’t suite it at all it sat at a used car lot for years didn’t sell until the place removed the grill and who knows what else after that a week later sold
@Legendary_Maniac

Yea, that grille eats value because people don't know how to take them off 💀
Great video!! How did you take off the grille that came with it
@Legendary_Maniac

There was some screws for the top one that I could reach in the front, and the bottom one was removed with some good old pliers
My rear window tint is bubbling too.... Been meaning to fix it for about 4 years now.... Procrastinating
Looking at the exact same car
thats the l99. the diffrence is the dod/afm system and vvt. vvt aint bad but those afm lifters are a ticking time bomb. if you wanna keep the car long term id pull the heads and swap the lifters for ls7 lifters and slap a cam in and all the necessary parts for that in while the heads are off. might as well

The car has an LS3, I know this because not only are there 3 stickers on the car saying so, and the owners manual says so, but also my Haynes workbook says that too!
@Legendary_Maniac

Also my long term plan replaces the cam, heads and lifters in a kit garenteed to make 580 HP!

Are u serious? Lmfao. L99 is only for automatics. The moment u saw the stick, it tells u its an LS3

Hy man nc car I’m saving up for mine rn I’m trying to also get a 2010 2ss plus they like 26k with only 40k miles
@CraigK5thGen
9 ай бұрын
For 26k if you look HARD and go a bit outside your immediate area trust me you can get a super clean one with WAY less than 40k miles… if you’re gonna spend $26k get the best, cleanest and possibly least modified one you can find. You’ll have little to no problems to deal with and years of hassle free enjoyment. Good luck!

Still got the car ? Any issues if so ? Looking to get a 5th or 6th gen this year just not sure if I wanna make payments on a car for 2-3 years lol not my style . So pretty sure I’ll go with 5th gen . Realistically how long do you think you’ll own the vehicle
@Legendary_Maniac

I still have the car! The only issue I have is that the driver door speakers went out, likely due to a faulty wiring harness. Other than that, the drive line and engine are solid. Realistically, I can see this car going over 200k miles with my current skillset. I do plan on driving this car untill it doesn't work anymore or starts needing many repairs that I can't keep up with
When I’m done with my dodge challenger I’m buying me one
Any problems yet? Looking for one scared of reliability issues
@Legendary_Maniac

My car only has a problem with the door wiring harness (causing the speaker and led strip not to work) but don't worry, you can find the part and there is a youtube tutorial on how to fix it. Other than that it's doing good so far! You should have little to no drive terrain issues on the manual cars.

I've had mine for almost 2 years now. It had 15k miles on it when I got it. It's at 27k currently. I've had to to replace the battery, AC condenser and heater core. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with reliability. Even with the mods that I've added.
Do it come with backup camera ?

@terrystokes7893 I'd be careful about buying one for 8k, typical market range is 18k-25k lol, but mabye its a lucky buy!
Why is it your dream car?

When I was 8, I loved Bumblebee from Transformers. Then someone I know bought a corvette, and then i fell in love with the engine. The car to me is the best combo of classic looks with modern performance
