    We use rubbing alcohol on those plastic parts that get sticky over time. Use a cotton cloth and rubbing alcohol and rub hard. Sometimes it takes a few applications. Also, instead of Goo Gone to remove sticker residue, I use WD 40. It is not smelly, it doesn't take any color off of items, and after the sticky residue comes off, I do one more swipe with a microfiber cloth and a little Simple Green. Hope this helps! Thanks for the awesome garage sale videos! :)

    I often use FIT to clean sticky stuff off of many items. It is for cleaning the oil coating and dirt from produce and veggies but often works well with out that awful smell of Goo Gone. Dawn dish detergence works often without any bad smell and even Awsome----but Awsome will also strip paint off of some figurines or walls or wallpaper so do a small test first.

    You will find out the hard way that games like Bioshock you will be lucky to break even on and the PS2 games like Rugrats will not sell for $8 + Shipping even if the game was in it. Most games just aren't worth buying unless they are free or $1. Not to mention your time is worth more than anything and buying a game you might make $1-$2 off of is never worth it. Xbox 360's are not worth buying most of the time bc they need to be working, very clean and with a controller to get $70-$75 out of them. So you will get $50-$60 most the time after fees if it has a controller and works and has much higher than 4GB. Consoles can be very time consuming with Cleaning, Testing, Resetting the Console then shipping it correctly to make sure it doesn't get damaged and all that to not really make much considering the time you are putting in. There is so much better stuff at Sales than video games but people are lazy in general and don't want to learn (not saying you). Not to mention many disc games need resurfacing and you can't resurface games anywhere now. Once you start learning and looking for other stuff you realize a large majority of game stuff isn't worth your time. People don't understand something as simple as Golf Clubs are way better than games. You pay $5 for a club that is worth $25+ minimum but its not a sexy thing or something people want to learn about so they don't. You don't have to test or clean clubs. And thats just one example of thousands of things

  • @propicker

    I don't see anything wrong with either reselling or collecting. But, collecting probably has at least an equal contribution to the rise in prices. When people collect 3,000+ games and sit on them, it keeps the supply off the market for people just looking to play a few games and relive memories with their kids.

    See this is another problem you youtubers do for example- You find Super Mario 64 and throw up a Sold Listing of $40 + $4.95 Shipping as if it's a $40 Game which it's not and that you will get $35 after fees for it which you won't. If you are going to do this as a KZreadr you should show a Sold Listing that is Below the cheapest Buy it Now price Online that hasn't Sold yet which is $33.99 Shipped which means after Shipping and Fees you will get at 13% fees $25.27 if it Sold for $33.99 Shipped. $25.27 after fees & shipping is a drastic difference at 25% less than $35. The only way this doesn't apply to you is if you have a giant ebay store where a ton of people come to look in it to shop and come across this and you over price it basically trying to take advantage of people not knowing the worth and they buy it without comparing to other prices on ebay. I understand why you do this because you want clicks and "Hey look at what this is worth" even if it's not worth that price because the large majority of people do not know how to correctly look items up. If an item has Sold on ebay for $100 but you can go on ebay right now and buy that exact item for $60 then it's not worth $100 and the Sold Listing you are showing is literally useless and misleading to the general public who don't know any better. And it works both ways as sometimes lowest buy it now prices might be actually much higher than what they actually Sell for when Sold. People are lazy and don't want to look prices up both ways but instead want the easiest and fastest way to look up items and don't know or don't care if it's inaccurate. IDK if you don't realize you are giving out incorrect prices on some things or don't care but either way it needs to change. And Yes sometimes just looking at Sold Listings of an item can be accurate but many times it's off by some amount rather it's a lot or a little. Like the Atari Sold gave you an accurate price from the Sold listings that just happened to match up IF IT WORKS (Many of them don't) but the PS1 Controllers have Zero Chance of ever getting $29.95 Shipped for 2 Controllers and is completely misleading unless you are some giant ebay store or over prices items and get unknowing people to buy over priced items. I see this on so many youtube channel not just yours but it's annoying because people who don't know any better believe what you put on the screen. Some people might disagree with what i'm saying but the people who do this for a living and watch this stuff know exactly what im talking about

  • @propicker

    @propicker

    Жыл бұрын

    My comps typically are a pretty solid ballpark estimate of what you will get for an item. If I put active listings up all the time, people would just say those don't count and to only use the most recent sold listings. No pleasing everyone.

  • @yvonnehornung8332

    @yvonnehornung8332

    I’m sure every person that is trying to or is selling on EBay or other sides knows that prices fluctuate.Him showing a sold listing isn’t misleading at all..at that point the item was selling for that much and certainly can have that same selling price again.Sure ..that same item will sell cheaper too but why list the cheaper sold price when in reality it sold for more and could again for that higher price.And he usually says how much in total he profits after EBay and shipping fees and buy cost.Truly don’t believe it’s meant to be misleading at all but that’s just my opinion:)
