😂 Jackie, this type of company uses the molds of the originals but that are too old or defective and need to be destroyed, but instead steals the molds to make the fake ones. For that reason a lot of figures have holes or extra material 😂😂 but always is fun to watch you open it. Thanks ❤

I take back what I said...especially after seeing poor Applebloom...if you look at the front of the ears you can see where the edges of the original ears are and where they modified them (and that overbite my goodness), plus all of the faces are nightmare fuel. They changed the wings on the Tokidokis, and the generics are just that. Honestly, I think the Tokidokis look the best. The wings are just rhombuses, but the paint jobs are pretty good. The shape of the faces and hair, and simple eye design, makes them much easier to get the eyes lined up properly.

In China, at the time I was over there, intellectual property rights only lasts three years. After that a company can make a cheap version of whatever they produced for a global brand.

I IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THE SPIKE. Those came from like, coloring books for kids, I think! Which is why the molds look so off in comparison to most. And the fact that the officials don't look 100%, added with the fact that these are bootlegs? Yeah, they're screwed. Course I could be wrong, but that's my best guess. Edit: I AM CORRECT. I looked them up. They're from the "My Busy Books" line! These are bootlegs of those figures, just INCREDIBLY poorly done, because they're bootlegged. Side note: The official Spike is hilarious looking.

Day 2 "Pinkie Pie" was so funny I'd keep her on my shelf! The fact that she has two left eyes is fantastic. Some great wonky ponies in this calendar for sure!

Ah yes...the Palmers brand "chocolate" advent calendars. My parents "splurged" on those a few years. They're mostly cocoa butter and sugar and are flavored with cocoa liqueur, so they really aren't exactly chocolate. It's basically poorly flavored white "chocolate" and since it doesn't contain any actual cocoa it's super cheap to make. Their Easter bunnies are absolutely atrocious too. It used to be pretty much the only option though.

lol I am an MLP collector and these figures (the g4 ones), came from the Barnes and noble busy book. The busy book figures are already pretty bad, but somehow they found a way to make them even worse in this calendar lol.

I'm a 20, and am personally insulted by lumpy Applebloom being my pony lol

The mermaid one is actually based on a real spinoff of unicornos called mermicornos!

I would take the” off” collection and refresh them with clay and paint. They have a close enough shape, just needs an artist touch.

Maybe something you can do on your craft channel is to try and 'fix' the toys you get from these boxes, repaint them, clay, do whatever to make them ok for something. Wouldn't have to be just what they were supposed to be, just something less bad. Would be a good way not to have a bunch of trash all over the place from bad fake products.

I wonder if the these molds are from some of the major companies like Toki Doki and other companies go into these calendars. Good way to save money.

I know that I’m late to the party by a couple of days and that no one will probably see/read this, *ESPECIALLY JACKIE…* however, on the _extremely_ off chance that I’m wrong about all of that… *Jackie, I would absolutely LOVE to see you repaint a few of these different ponies!* I know that most of the molds are pretty “meh” (Aside from the one on your birthday, it _is_ pretty dope!) but I still think that a lot of them could still look pretty great with a good/inspired paint job! I know that it’s not gonna happen, but I just had to leave this comment due to “what if’s” and “ya never know’s”! lol. Thanks!! 💜

I got for my birthday (day 5) Scootaloo. Fun fact I believe these moulds are based on the moulds that were used in the My Little Pony Busy Books which already had pretty derpy looking paint jobs and sculpts hence why these are extra bad. That's also probably why they added the Toki Doki and those generic ones as filler in there because the busy book moulds only came with the mane six the cmc, Cadence and Celestia. I don't know why they didn't try to use sculpts/moulds from the mlp blind bags though there's plenty of those they could of used. Weirdest calender I've ever had was a fake Squid Game fidget calender it wasn't as bad as some of these like there was some actual decent stuff in there but there was also some questionable items as well. I might try and get the bts calender that's similar to mlp one this year.

I bought this calendar and in the full knowledge that these are fakies and plan to unbox it on my channel throughout December. I also own a few TokiDoki Unicornos, so as soon as I saw this calendar had knock-off Unicornos & Mermicornos I was in! What makes me laugh is that the figures which are based on actual characters from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic aren’t unicorns! Either pegsi or earth ponies. These G4 ponies are supposed to be based off moulds of Phidal busy book figurines … and yes, the official busy book digures have those derp eyes!

Hippocampus is the word you are actually looking for I think. Deranged Pinkie Pie is on my date, and ofta. And that’s my favorite pony too! I’d keep it just to make me laugh when I need a pick me up! 😂 or to scare small children 🤔
