Yo me too I upgrading the ram soon I saw someone upgrade it to 16gb and they got like 180fps on the highs or 200 and the lows were 80 with only 8gb

My MSI is looking down on all of them rn,but some amazing budget laptops for school and gaming,also i didn't know RTX and Ryzen could be together in one laptop

The reason the hp victus 15 is better than the 1st one is because fortnite is a cpu heavy game when playing on low settings but if your game isnt fortnite then it should have the exact same perfomance

The laptop kxng used at the start runs way better than the one i have idk why

Personally bought the first one, it had full wifi, and got about 100 fps in fortnite but dropped down to 40 and constantly couldent run creative getting like 17 fps

Make sure you're plugged in when gaming, it's practically impossible to game on battery. If that doesn't work try re-installing your Nvidia Graphics drivers or check armory crate to ensure that your Nvidia GPU is actually enabled.

u can either return it or sell it used, after this u should check websites that sell laptops and research until u find the one u like and if its the same keep trying until u find on that can get 100+ fps and then use it. (if u get a bad pc u can upgrade it or replace parts)

I got the cheaper version of the hp victus and at first when i got it, I was getting 60 fps, didn't bother me because I played on nintendo switch before so I was probs getting less fps. Then i put in 32gb ram and now I easily run 144 fps with other tabs open.

I have the hp victus 16 with a gtx1650 and a ryzen 5 5600h and i have 240 stable fps in creative and 200-220 stable in game without an external monitor connected, if you have an external monitor the fps increase at around 100-120

They’re not the rtx 2050 and 3050 have a pretty significant performance boost (30%) PLUS the 3050 gets more features like DLSS.

No. Rtx 2050 is actually a gtx1650. The only thing that could put it slightly apart is the extra tgp.

my 3070 laptop that was £1,000 only gets 165 cuz thats the max the screen can display and thats the highest fortnite will allow how do i break the barrier to make it have no 165 cap? (Changing fps cap in fn setting didnt work btw)

That's called vsync or gsync and freesync if your monitor is compatible which adds a ton of input lag. G sync and freesync are a little bit better but still the input delay is not worth it

Also it's not a good idea to lock your frame rate to the monitors refresh rate since higher fps give lower input lag even if it's higher than your monitors refresh rate. So for example someone with a 60hz monitor that locks his fps to 60 has more input lag than someone with a 60hz monitor that gets 200 fps

@alexyps2155 it's a good idea, in my opinion, if you want to eliminate screen tearing, add generally, it lifts off some of the load, plus it's not intended for competitive use although I wrote that comment I didn't know vsync adds a ton of delay so it's a bad idea when your playing competitive games.

I’m a music producer who’s into gaming and I’m probably gonna get hp victus or tuf f15 ASUS - they are definitely able to handle fl studio and the plugins I use but upgrading ram and cpu is needed for gaming and max performance

@@xaym3n even at max graphics it’s an easy 144 frames because Roblox isn’t very taxing on a laptop like this it’s too spec’d out, maybe some small stutters here and there but you’ll easily run max graphics lol, the bare minimum it’ll do is some 1080p gaming tho so don’t expect much on triple A titles

im pretty sure your laptop has a battery charge limitation. Set that to 90% since having it at 100 plugged in always isn't good. If you limit it to a max of 90% you can get the benefits of being plugged in and not harm the computer. Check the asus settings
