I just fixed a small to moderate leak at the lower oil pan. Never made a gasket/seal before. I used Permatex The Right Stuff and it's working great so far. Of course the fun part was cleaning both surfaces before applying. That particular gasket maker was especially good because of the 90 min cure wait in lieu of the 24 hrs.

Mine has 150K miles on it and I just replaced the valve cover gaskets and tube seals with help from your previous video. I got a new torque converter put in at around 132K miles as well. Your brother’s car looks great for that mileage. Under the hood on my car looks crummier than that right now. Plus, my hood supports just failed on me this weekend while working on the valve covers so I’ll need to get new ones. I’d love to see more content on this car especially while driving it around with over 200K miles on it. It might be due for another CVT fluid flush pretty soon if you haven’t done it already

Yah maybe im asking too much , but believe me please. The small details matter. Loved how great video was allowing us to see every single step. BTW where can I get hopefully free those "service manuals" I would pay but 30 usd is a robbery specially for non us viewers being crushed by dollar exchange rate. Maybe a collab for discounted ones. I used your koken discount for small things last week, sent to a relative in the states. Koken USA charges a lung lobe for shipping outside US (Canada), Techchoice tools saved me with their Deep 1/4 socket set, excellent price btw. I wish your discounts could work with suppliers who ship to canada with great prices. So hard to source parts and all here :( Note for viewers on how Fellow Señor Subaru used a Vessel philips screwdriver JIS to carefully take those fasteners. Dont use a regular bit!, use JIS bits instead.

I confirmed thermostat is opening (put it in boiling water). Replaced radiator cap. Replace reservoir tank and feeder hose. Use lisle burp kit when refilling coolant.

Timing belt was done but what are the common issues with these 2.5's that would cause crank not start but run fine after it's gets a jump or starting fluid boost and run fine there after?

Hi, I own a 2014 Subaru Forester 2.5L Premium, it has 136,000ish miles. I purchased it less than a year ago (June 2023) and have already sank a bunch of money on parts like the wheel hub bearing, cv axle, and ball joint(s). Now the car is starting to make a whining noise when I accelerate (kinda sounds like a supercharger whine). I did some research and people said that it’s signs of a transmission failure, which I did look on the records of my car and found out that the transmission fluid was never changed! My mechanic says there is no sign of transmission problems and they even inspected it and 3 different guys test drove it. If anybody else has had this similar issue what is your advice cause I don’t really feel like having to deal with that expensive bill if my transmission needs replacing.

Hi from Baja, Mexico. Just bought a 2003 Subaru Outback LL Bean 1 week ago. Just put in new battery. Today AT OIL TEMP started flashing. I'm scared.

Can you or anyone here help me diagnose a problem with a stuck rear passenger brake on a 2003 Forrester with 70k miles on it? Caliper releases when bled and the line pumps fluid just fine.

MrSubaru1387, I also just bought a 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5 Premium. My brake light on dash is flashing. It doesn't have the electric brake calibers. How do I fix this issue? It does have the electric parking brake, though. Also, what part of South Carolina do you live in? I may have some work for you.

It probably just needs reprogrammed, have you had the battery disconnected recently?
