Nice Rig, I just got rid of my Ram 2500 Mega cab for a Tundra. Here's some advice, carry some tools and get familiar with working on them. They're great trucks when they're running, but can be a PITA, and everything Diesel is twice as expensive. It's a million mile motor with 20k mile parts. Definitely get to know the Edge, it is a great tool for trouble shooting problems that can pop up. Forget Turbo boost and all that crap, get to know your Exhaust Gas Temps, Fuel Rail pressure ( if it drops or throws a code, it could be anything from a clogged line or filter, to pump), Transmission temps and what the thresholds are so you know when to stop and not damage it, and EGR (delete it). Enjoy it, that's an awesome setup.

I miss your 4Runner already. I was interested in seeing Toyota. Not some other brand especially Fiat-Chrysler. Have fun with that get used to warranty work at the dealer. I’ll see you later.

So stoked!!! I have a power wagon ( Ram 2500 rubicon basically, sadly no diesel) and love it! Full size may not go on every trail, but it will go on most. And the room and cargo is worth it, especially for the long trips. The all around utility of a full size and capability is just so much more. Can’t wait to see more content!!!

I liked your four runner, I really like this truck.

I bought a 2018 Tundra 4X4, TRD with the 5.7 and 4:10 rear 13 months ago...., great truck but struggled to pull my 24' boat with twins / 7,800 lbs or so.. Loved the truck but like you said, Toyota needs a diesel offering preferably 3/4 Ton.. (they are missing the boat) , I took a big hit and traded it in on a 2017 Ram 2500 4X4 with the Cummins with 42k miles... could not be happier tows my boat like it's not even there while getting 13 MPG the Tundra was getting 7... it gets 19 mpg empty... crazy, You will Love the Ram, especially that one... what a set up... awesome rig you got there... looking forward to you excursions... !!

I love it! Ram/Cummins the most reliable engine out there. Good choice!!! Can’t wait to see more of this rig out there on the trails, there are so many Toyota channels out there this is a breath of fresh air for us full size truck guys that like overland/camping. Keep up the good work sir!!

Been following since your 4Runner was stock, chased the overland dream with my gx470 but it’s got so many miles on it long distance trips aren’t really happening. Ever since expo east last year I’ve wanted a ram. I was super excited when you were hinting at wanting one. Super excited for the content to follow on your new truck and congratulations. I’ve got my eyes peeled for a 17+ power wagon that I’d like to give a light aev treatment to.

Hey I dig that you’re doing something new. I had a Toyota FJ and Tundra. Loved them both, but appreciate seeing and learning about other stuff. I had never missed an oil change or service interval with my FJ and it blew the head and both Cats at 80,000 miles. Reliability is subjective and so is fun. I’m excited to see your new content. Keep it coming.

Congrats on the new ride! I had a 2004 4Runner V8 then a 2014 4Runner and the 2014 didn't feel as good. Traded that in for a 2016 1500 Laramie and have had ZERO problems. Enjoy! I too was apprehensive going Ram, but so far no regrets.
