Brought mine a year ago and it’s terrific. I think its the nearest thing to have a classic arcade game console at home. Love it.

Haha, I just got myself a dreamcast a few days ago. I've always been a handheld gamer since the gameboy and gamegear back then so I never had a TV Console. However, I remember whener I was at electronics shop with my brother or friends - the most fun I had used to be at a Dreamcast kiosk. And what can I say? This console is just pure fun. Love it.

Good video. Be on the lookout for the 'resetting issue' which needs solving by opening up and bending some pins back and clearing them so they contact the motherboard tightly.

I remember when I first got my first Dreamcast.

dreamcast was all about getting accessories like fight sticks and mouse and keyboard to bring it alive.

Absolutely. I bid on a Sega keyboard and mouse bundle on eBay a few days ago actually. I didn't win it unfortunately though.

@@G-C-G The Dreamcast keyboard is pretty nice and I highly recommend it. Thanks to GDEMU played a few typing games like Typing of the Dead and a couple of (English patched) Japanese anime typing games from the Neon Genesis Evangelion saga and they were quite nice nice and fun. It was difficult getting a Dreamcast keyboard in my country (Mexico) and is nearly impossible to find a Dreamcast (or a PSX) mouse on sale here so I think I will try to import such. Ironically SNES mouses are still quite common and relative easy to find here which is nice but I wish I could get other consoles accesories too.

I just bought one for the first time as well. That sucks about the clock. I’m not tech savvy as you seem to be. But thanks for the info!

I'm really enjoying using mine. The clock is a relatively easy mod to do but does require the use of a soldering iron which isn't something all people are comfortable with but it's really shouldn't be that difficult. Anyway, I'll update my viewers on the mod in the future. Thanks for the comment!

Recently I bought one too, and I installed a gdemu, since than, lots of fun.

gdemu looks awesome! I may install it in the future but haven't decided yet. It's kind of expensive.

I spent a bit more than that on mine but it did come with an Xbox 360 and 30 games for the 360 so I reckon it was worth it.

Try to use VGA cable or SCART cable , your gonna see it native 480p

isn't like half of it's library ported to other consoles? 🤨 sonic, jet set, shenmue etc.

PS2 is better than the Dreamcast but it doesn't mean that dreamcast is not of the best consoles, it is one of the best consoles ever! Small yet unforgettable library of games are masterpieces. Its a failed console due to Sega's bankruptcy but its legendary in the history. Sega might not go back to making consoles but they are still here publishing more games and they are still a multibillion company, even after many failures

Haha the one nice white controller. 😂 *When the player 2 controller finally gets to be the player 1 controller* I feel for that controller always fighting for the number 1 spot in my parents eyes. Q_Q

How about going online with it? 🙂 There’s still an active online community that plays on a schedule. You do need exterior products though.

Yeah also it doesn’t have Wifi and I have nowhere to set it up close enough to the router unfortunately to use Ethernet.

My favourite part about creating these videos is learning cool new stuff like this from the comments left by viewers. I'll hopefully be able to get it online, my router's pretty far away from my Dreamcast though.

I got a CRT shortly after this, but it was too large for my room and I decided to sell it. I might invest in a smaller one later on though, also the high pitched noise that they make is a bit annoying.

Не используйте CR2032, потому что он не перезаряжаемый. Вместо этого используйте батарейку-таблетку ML2020 или ML2032, потому что Dreamcast будет заряжать ее во включенном состоянии. Don't use a CR2032 because it's non-rechargeable. Instead use a ML2020 or ML2032 button cell battery because the Dreamcast will recharge it when it's on.

@@G-C-G If you talk to most people who play modern video games at best the only thing they will know about the Dreamcast is only 2 games sonic adventure's 1 and 2 people who buy the Dreamcast today are rich people who want to have a retro video game collection

@@Ohrami I completely agree. I mostly play games released before 2012. After that I feel like the amount of microtransactions and paid subscriptions in games grew so much. Many games just became pay to win and not as fun as they used to be.
