I'd suggest reading the Wayside School books, and the Bailey School Kids. I loved those when I was a kid, and I've been rereading them myself cuz the nostalgia is just absolutely strong for me.

Love it when you take a trip back to your childhood and also quite impressed that a boy read (what people would assume to be) a "girls book." Good for you for recognizing even back then that a good story is a good story no matter what the supposed gender. I was like that too growing up. I liked "girly girl" things,but also enjoyed things that were (supposedly) generally liked by boys. Like,growing up,I would read Nancy Drew books,but then tune into TV for wacky world of professional wrestling. I know you read Goosebumps,but I was wondering if you were ever into Fear Street or Christopher Pike too? Please do more of these! They were really fun!

EXACTLY! Girls and boys can read whatever they want, the story is always the most important part! I can't remember ever being into Fear Street or Christopher Pike as a kid, but I do want to try and read all of the Fear Street books for a vlog at some point, they're just a little tougher to get hold of these days, but I want to read them all soo bad!

This just brought me so much nostalgia. I wanted to be Mary Kate and Ashley when I was younger 😂

I'm currently rereading a childhood favourite of mine: The W.I.T.C.H. graphic novel-series, and you are so right. They should solely be based on pure enjoyment 😍

I loved Mary Kate and Ashley growing up! Full House was my favorite show. I also loved some of their movies. My favorites were It Takes Two, To Grandmother's House We Go, Winning London, and Double,Double Toil and Trouble.

I was a major Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fans growing up. I read all the mystery books, Your Invited Books, Two of a Kind, So Little Time books. I found a lot of them at my local used bookstore and bought them to re read them and it was an experience because I forgot how much I loved them. Remember they can solve any crime by dinnertime. I bought all the books at book fair and when they new they had trading cards you could take out of the back of the books. Now I want to rewatch all my favorite Olsen Twin movies. I watched them non stop. And it is still funny how people can't put two and two together, but in the tv series for their mystery series their younger sister is Elizabeth Olsen who was in a few of their videos and it take people by surprise that Wonda from Marvel is the Olsen Twin's baby sister

I had a bunch of the Mary-Kate and Ashley books, from all their series! I also would watch their movies growing up, but specifically their detective series I watched with my younger brother. To Grandmother's House We Go and Double Double Toil and Trouble are a couple movies we would rent over and over again! And you're totally right about pretending to be a detective with your sibling because along with some other kids'/teen media (Inspector Gadget, Harriet the Spy, Get A Clue come to mind rn) we would play detectives! Though, I think mystery was the first genre I really got into besides regular drama/fiction. I loved the Nancy Drew and Sammy Keyes mystery series!! The first Nancy Drew book was my favorite book for a while! I read Nancy Drew and my younger brother read a few of the Hardy Boys books- he wasn't a huge reader unlike me, and now he doesn't even read.

Ah glad you stuck with reading though! And I need to re-watch Double Double Toil and Trouble ASAP, a lot of people have mentioned that in the comments and it really was a profound movie!

I remember reading the mystery ones when I was really young. I would set up a blanket tent in my grandmother's living room to read them. Didn't care it was a sunny summer day, apparently past me wanted the vibes for reading mysteries

I have Jingle-Bell Jinx. It was a very cute read.

My favorite 22 minutes spent this week! What a pure delight!

Coming back to add if anyone else here remembers those book order forms you would get in school and pouring over them carefully marking off which ones you wanted,give me a thumbs up! LOL! I remember back when I was a kid,twenty dollars would get you sooooo many books (and posters and magazines) from them! Use to ADORE them in school!

I read some of their other books as a kid as well as Lizzy McGuire but since they are so short I didn’t have the money to buy them since I read them so quickly. But I believe I still have them and my dvd collection. Your video makes me want to reread and rewatch them all 😂 ❤️ I also have a collection of Sabrina the teenage which books which I collected over years and I now proudly display them on my self ✨

I loved both Goosebumps and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but haven't picked any of these books up since I was a child. I also adored the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Series books and the Angel books that came out. Funnily enough, I don't have any of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer as I gave them to my friend when she got into the series, but I still have the Angel books.

My mom found a bunch of my Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley books and brought them to me to give to my niece! She is loving them and now i want to read them again hahah.

You should check out the Trixie Belden books! I loved those as a kid. They're about a group of spunky American teen detectives in the 50s

I lived for the Sweet 16 MKA books when I was younger becuase those were the only books they translated to swedish

Omg, the Mary-Kate and Ashley books! I remember having a handful of books from each series, and it was cool how some tied in with their series and films, although they weren’t only retellings of the films and shows. I really liked how the Two of a Kind series ended up going beyond the scope of the show in a diary format. And I think one of the Sweet 16 books was part tie-in with one of the films, Getting There, but it also fictionalizes the making of the film, including with fictional names of the actors and fictional behind the scenes drama.

I think there's about 42 book of this series. I saw some on Amazon, and 42 was a cheerleader mystery.

So I’m making my way through your back catalogue because I just found you (yay!) and I did Animorphs, then all the goosebumps and it’s so nice to see how joyful you are with these!! I love MK&A when I was younger as well as Nancy drew and hardy boys. But also, you should check out Encyclopedia Brown! A wholesome good mystery series from my childhood. And I was obsessed with the Pendragon series!! The world building there and in HP got me into fantasy!! Anyway, thanks for alleviating some depression for me ❤

This was so sweet, I love it I love it. I'm also shamed into hiding the cover of some of my more "questionable" reads when I'm in public, but like fk that. The world would definitively be better if we all read MK&A books. Facts.

I watched a lot of their stuff when I was a teenager!! I haven't read any of their books, I didn't know there were that many. Being from the Netherlands, I've never seen them here, but aww now I want to read some haha. Sorry that it's hard to find them even in the UK! I guess most are found in the US. Very entertaining video! So much nostalgic feelings.
