Great video, mate! if you got yours in an exchange with a dealership or from a private seller - dealerships presume everyone is an idiot and ‘erase’ or ‘cancel’ error codes or dashboard lights. Back in Australia I had a 2004 RX330 AWD Luxury Sport version. She always drove very well, took us on many interstate roadtrips on Australia’s tough roads in crazy weather conditions, and the venerable V6 always roared to life when I needed it - until my last day with it by which she had done 236,000 kms/140,000 miles. I moved to the US in May - around when you got your RX - and over here I got a 2008 RX400h with a 185,000 miles on it. What a coincidence!! I took her to a hybrid specialist for a tune-up (fresh spark plugs, brake check, full scan of the hybrid system and overall health scan) plus I put in a new engine air filter, fresh cabin a/c filter, cleaned out the mass air flow (MAF) sensor and am putting brand new tyres on her this week. She already runs like a dream and even the original music system sounds great 👍🏽 I’ve driven around 2000+ miles so far and I get around 26 miles/gallon, 11 km/l or 9 litres/100 kms in mixed city/highway/stop-and-go traffic conditions. Mine has the navigation screen which means I get a lovely animation of the hybrid system in action, or a graphic of how many kW the regenerative braking produces or other A/C, sound system and service info on the reverse camera screen. If I were you, I’d keep that car as a daily ride - if not, all the best to whoever buys it off you. Lexuses are built solid and beautiful - like 1930s Rolls Royces or 1960s Mercedes Benzes.
I own a 2008 RX400H, just hit 250,000 miles. And yes, it's the beauty that has the HID lights that "swoop" when you turn the key. It's a 15 year old high mileage Lexus and it's STILL one of the best looking vehicles on the road. Recently I traded it in for the new 2023 RX500H, only to be EXTREMELY disapointed with how slow the new turbo 4cylinder is, and I actually made the dealership take it back and give me my 400H back. Only issue it had was the ABS actuator at 190K, and I just missed the warranty. No biggie, they threw in a free timing belt replacement. And that is a service you won't find from any other auto maker. I think it's safe to say that Lexus RX series are some of the best Toyota/Lexus SUV's ever made, if not the absolute best. Nice choice! 🏁
Love my 08 400h, got it with 200k and couldn't even tell. Hopefully I'll get it to 300k.
2006 RX 400h, 133k miles. Love it buuut, owned it less than 3 months and the stole my catalytic converter!

With original hybrid battery? Thinking about buying one and most of them that are for sale in my budget in Finland have about 200,000-300,00 km on it and was thinking if there is too high of a risk of the battery going bad right away when I would buy it
when s hould the battery be replaced? Im also lookin at a 2007 400h with 180k miles but worried about the battery

@@yumyumkevin it's hard to tell. Although for around £70 lexus will de a specific hybrid health check test for you. It's also included in any service booked but if you just want that test they can do that, that's only way to be sure on the Hybrid system.

@@sutsi thanks for the reply - after some research, in the states they don’t do hybrid battery health checks unfortunately

how much for this lexus?
What is the hybrid health check?
Do you still own the car? How many miles on it now?
Hi. Can you tell me how is 400h compare to 450h 2009-2010. Is 450h worth more money?
@sutsi

It all depends on your budget. The 450 is an upgrade in terms of interior design etc. So personally if it was me and I had sufficient budget to get the 450 I'd get it

@@strumblackburn9395 you should get combined around 32mpg (UK) driving responsibly with mixed traffic. I get near 40 doing steady upto 60mph motorway. Of course it's mostly in electric mode when in the city
