Front chrome grills look stock OEM, the E46 330i’s have chrome slats and 325i’s have black slats.. Your lower plastic mesh on the M-tech 2 front bumper also looks original.. I sprayed mine black after it faded. Looked much better afterwards. Was never a big fan of angel eyes on the E46s but looks okay on this one... Unique for the E46 330 ZHP’s was the black plastic trim in the headlights (stock 330s shipped with silver trim) I don’t drive mine often anymore but a fav feature of the ZHPs has always been the red gauge needles... Nice find! Looking forward to more videos. Also, the suspension is nice, but I think the steering is what I enjoyed most about driving mine. Not sure if it’s the ratio, the rack, or what exactly, but it felt great... Cheers!

Almost an identical twin to my ZHP! I upgraded mine with a higher geared rear diff. Made all the difference in the world! I have black leather and black cube trim. I have 150k miles and a 2004. You've got a great find! You'll grow to love this new car. PS-Don't forget the higher redline.

Great channel and glad to see an imola zhp in the fleet. Same car lives in my garage. Daily drove it forever and now it's my fun toy with 172k on it. Sold it once and regretted it, so bought the same car back. Good luck with it.

jut bought 06 330ci i beleive its a zhp. it has the m3 wheels, m3 steering wheel, carbon fiber trim, 6 speed manual, ,m3 cinnamon interior, super nice bmw. gonna post it. subscribe to check it out. will be up soon. need your guys help determining if its a zhp or regular 330ci

The interior door lock button unlocks the doors when you push it again.

Also driver door cannot be locked when ajar !! And go through NCS or carly or what have you and code some options like single key press to unlock all doors and hold to roll up/down windows etc

Those zhp’s also have arguably the best steering rack BMW ever made. Only z3 and z4 are shorter ratio but this one has thicker torsion bar for heavy/tighter steering. People swap them into E30s and even M3’s. Prob another reason it’s so fun to drive.

The Chrome Grills where standard in E46 days. Blacking out came into style in later years

Nice man! Also just be a bit clear on the trim levels. There was Base, Sport Package (ZSP) & Performance Package (ZHP). There is also an in between which is the Cold Weather Package but its just a bit more add ons for the base models.

Oh, with the PS fluid leak, watch your alternator. Mine killed my alternator a bit ago. Did a full replacement of the PS reservoir, hoses and the alternator. The grills are correct on yours.

Yeah I am keeping an eye out since the alternator is right below it. I just replaced the gasket and will check the engine bay in a few days

You guys in the states are so so fortunate to be able to obtain these 330is for not that much money. Here in it's origin country germany you nowadays have to shell out some serious money to get these in great condition. They are so rare, many have been modified to death, raced and crashed etc. So, could you please ship a couple of nice ones over to our shores or something along thoses lines :D BTW great vid keep it up!

Congratulations on buying the ultimate version of what i consider as the best generation of 3 series. Does it have clutch delay valve? If so, consider removing it as the CDV makes gear shifts jerky and also leads to premature clutch wear. You will also have instant throttle response with the CDV removed.

I believe mine is a zhp as well. It has 767 “preformance package” and has 6800 redline high gloss trim, black cube trim, zhp shifter, came in imola red and also m tech 2 body kit. Dude thought it was a sport package but it was actually a sport but it was a zhp too

Great Car! In my e46 the doors unlock with the lock button inside.

The center lock button also unlocks. I use it all the time

I don't have a zhp but I own a 330xi and I love the way it handles. It's still a blast to drive.

The button next to your hazards, should unlock and lock the doors, well that's how my e46 worked.

Really nice car! From my experience that button should lock and unlock the doors. Maybe something is wrong with the central locking? Good luck and have fun.

Can you make a video with your thoughts and experience/ownership summary of the e39, or even the m cars as a whole and contrast that with your older 335 before the wreck and your new ZHP and just tie that all up in a neat little bow and consider your thoughts and expectations moving to the m3 and what your expectations were and in what ways it met/exceeded/fell short of your expectations etc? That would be extremely useful, so few people are willing to make videos like that looking back and including their perspective from before the purchase in a single video. Anyhow just a thought, thanks

Why didn't you prepare it before you made the video? Mine goes from 0-60 mph in 6 seconds flat. That is NOT slow. That is quick. Plus 22 mpg. It sounds like you don't like it much. How about I take it off your hands for you?

It's a beautiful car but personally I prefer yellow angel eyes on older model bimmers just looks more oem.

Get a Nissan Frontier for your daily driver. Zhp were manual steps. Equipment.

Hey brother, I happen to be the owner of this very car and have owned it for the last year or so. I'm encountering an issue with the oil pressure light flickering at idle, as well as the idle suddenly dropping below its regular RPM rate. I know you replaced the oil pressure sensor while this vehicle was in your possession, is there any chance you were chasing this issue?

I had the idle drop a few times, but it never happened enough to chase. I never figured out what it was.

I don't know why but for me that's is just BMW 330i M-sport there is a ton of them in Europe, So I click on the video to check what special is about this ZHP... I don't get it why the US market has strange names xd

just bought a 2006 bmw 330ci convertible its imola red on m3 wheels, 6 speed manual, Ah i dont like the alcantera but to each his own. mine also has m3 sport wheel, cinnamon red m3 interior m3 bumper, i believe its a zhp. it has the carbon fiber trim, harmon kardon speaker system, its super beautiful. damn tho i just had to put in a starter and it was hell it was 10 hours for me, just bc how much crap you had to take offf to get to the starter but worth it for me. it also has the xenon adaptive headlights the 06 version. super dope will post soon sellin my 07 335i subscribe to see my new video on my 06 vert 330ci imola red w cinnamon red m3 interior. also you could get 30-35k for your m5 if low miles .in california where im from they are going high all day

Turbo it or S54b32 swap I would buy a wrecked e46 with good specs and build up the M54B30 - new seals piston rings head studs oil pump fix etc and drop in with a spooly boi Only thing is ZHP has the MS45.1 DME best DME is MS43 supports many things just flash one of the firmwares available on the forums its actively being developed for
