Hi mate,it's better if u feather out the grinded areas before filler.also, rubbing down filler isn't easy with a da.it can be done, but takes many years of practice.i advise using a small block and guide coats until u feel confident to repair without.you will get there eventually.it gets to a stage where u can almost see a repair is right without feeling it.also,3 good coats of 2k high build primer with a gun is always better.hope this helps.

I think the service history is all stored on the key and/or the car itself, they don't use books any more. Also, disconnect / reconnect the battery to reset the fuel gauge - mine stopped working and it just needed reset like that.

Assuming no mods have been done, the difference between a JCW and Cooper S is the JCW doesn’t have front fog lights as it has air vents instead, those cup wheels are arched out further to allow for the JCW brakes to fit, the speedo has JCW branding and the outer center display ring has speedo markings. You can spec a Cooper S with the aero kit so those lower side skirts are a legit OEM option for any model.

You need to sand the primer then get some glazing to use as a final coat of fillers that should help with pin holes good luck when pulling might be best practice to use a panel betting hammer on the high spots.

Previous comments have said it for me, but speaking as a bloke who has worked on cars and buildings with scant regard for personal protection for 45 years, I can assure you that, the hearing protection, is the one thing I wish I had used. That ringing sound you get, after using the angle grinder, is a bitch when it never goes away! Do it now and don't regret it when you're older. Nice work though.
