Great video i have had 1 of these for few weeks now no complaints they are great bit of kit especially at this price! I use my deeper by placing it in a cradle in the middle hopper with hook link/bait etc in rear much easier than arm! Make sure use correct amp for charging remote! Have fun! 😂

I had a go with it over the weekend Dave ! Great bit of kit as you say 🎣👌🏻 I used it for 48 hours and it didn’t even drop from 100% battery ! I’m not sure if that’s normal 😂 I usually charge stiff like that off my battery bank so it’s a lower charging amp !

hi matt...yeah been looking at these for a while now..there getting a good rep....think ill be investing in one...they are a great angling tool i think ..as are the deepers...i dont use it to fish find i use it more for feature finding....i used to have a boat...i used mine a lot putting deadbaits out at distances......great review matt..cant wait for ya specimen video....tight lines!

I used it on my 48 hour session and I really do recommend it 👌🏻🎣 great bit of kit, yes finding the features is the main use for me definitely !

I’ve had the power cut out completely on my boat three times now. Twice when I’ve luckily still had a line in the rear hopper. Once after I’d just driven it back. I noticed the power came back on as soon as I pulled the boats lid off. I wiggled the red and black cables around and couldn’t get it to loose it’s power again. I’m thinking that the on/off switch may be dodgy. I think I’ll use some piggy back/scotch block wiring connectors and join the red and black cables together via a link cable. That way it would be permanently on unless I disconnect the battery. Otherwise it’s a really good boat!

I have a fishfinder on my sea fishing boat,they have to be fitted out of the turbulance of the prop.Otherwise you will need to turn the prop off to get a reading.I doubt you will get a reading while the boat is moving if you put the ball over the prop.I ran model petrol boats,and adding a block of polystyrene is handy if for some reason they spring a leak.I'd also get a spare set of allen keys.Have you thought of getting a battery charging pack as well as a spare battery? have you thought of trying the boat out in deep water,ie,Debdale reservoirs.There's some big cats in there. I have sub aqua dived in there and watched the fish.

Hi Stan ! Just used it for a 48 hour session and the battery didn’t move from 100% which is awesome and really impressive. So no extra batteries needed. With some adjustments I got a perfect deeper reading. It sat well in the water etc I will google Debdale! Cheers 🎣

I have the batman actor, plus with sonar. I love using mine.when I can The only issue is a lot of lakes won't let you use bait boats on there hope you enjoy using yours

That’s true Dale ! Which is a shame because they are a great tool and stealthy when used correctly. Better than 100 spods going in 😂 cheers buddy had a go with it yesterday, it’s working well.

Thanks for the reply definitely agree with 100s of spods grant for using in hard to rech places i.e islands with willow trees on and keeping it in your own swim but apart from that i don't see any issues using them on lakes

Another great video mate good-looking bit of kit I don't think it's cheating if you want to use it go for it too technical for me (technical idiot that I am ) so God bless the black pearl and all bollies who sail in her

I think that’s on the GPS version yes, minds just the compass version which keeps the boat running straight

Hey up Westy Looks a great bit of kit that pal👌 But call me thick if you want but if you put your pva bags in the centre well & the trap door opens to release, is your line & hook attached to the bag or not🤔🤔 If so, once released, how does the line release from the boat???? As I said call me thick 😂😂

It’s not thick at all ! Unless you have it in front of you it’s hard to see how it works work. You just load your rig from the underneath then close the door 👌🏻👍🏻 or put the pva in the rear hopper and open the door when you are happy with the location. I am testing it out today. It’s working well with a little practice 😂🎣

i was thinking of buying a deeper sonar, but its to expensive and the fun of finding the fish is kinda gone if you see were the fish is :)

I completely agree with this ! Can certainly help you locate the features though 👌🏻 I have found that the fish finder part of it can actually be a distraction!

Can you help me out? I just got the boat and i want to load the controler but the red light doesnt blink. do you now wath this means?

Do you mean charge it ? Mine came fully charged, I charge mine using a battery bank (low voltage) I would use it a while then try to charge it you should get a red light, or try a different usb charging wire 👍🏻👌🏻

Hi the handset is confusing is it 8hrs charge time it needs I suppose you can over charge it because the lights don't change to let you know when it's charged

Mind charges in a couple of hours, it flashes with a green and red light when it’s done, just a red light when it’s charging

Theres no cheating when it comes to fishing lol ive looked at these but just more stuff to carry around and to be honest probably wouldnt get much use if i found a cheap second hand one would probably get one good luck on the your trip

Seems a nice bit of kit that boat. How about calling it "Westy’s Wanderer", or just "The Wanderer". I’m really looking forward to your specimen trip almost as much as you.
