3:34 You're in luck with that one, not only it's an iPod Mini, but it's a 2nd gen one, considered one of the easiest iPods to mod to larger storages since it uses a HDD pinout similar to Compact Flash and can be expanded to a whoping 256GB. Not sure if you're interested on getting into iPods and changing the storage and battery, but it's a very nifty compact portable player.

For the white iPhone try these: 1. The battery may have too low charge to turn on even connected. Try connecting to a 10W charger for a couple of hours (2-3h). It may kick in. 2. If it doesn't. Try disconnecting the battery tab from the main board and plugging in a charger. If it turns on without battery and starts boot looping it probably is okay and the battery is dead. Cheers!

Hello, Elliot, You can get an universal lipo clip-on charger with adjustable prongs for about 5 dollars from eBay like I did. The one with the LCD. That charger even detects the correct polarity. I use it almost every day and I always have it in my backpack as my old phone collection grows bigger and bigger. It helps me decide to buy a charger for the phone I have bought or not. Also the plastic clips that held the charger to the phone were way to sensitive and broke easily

The original Walkman came out in the late 1970s; the iPod didn't come out "shortly after." Sony also had a few other portable players in the interim, including the Discman, a portable CD player, and there were many, many competitors to both the Walkman and the Discman on the market. The iPod wasn't even the first portable mp3 player, it's just the first one that gained a huge amount of popularity.

Aahh..Nokia. Got five of them. Super phones, and I've even been to the city of Nokia. Used the 3310 for many years, and it still works. Xperias are great. On the sixth year of my Z5 now. It's solid as a rock 😀
I don't expect many refugees to come to Jersey, but here in the Netherlands many Ukrainians are asking for phones. You may actually be able to help with that bag!

The only phones that may be worth using in 2022 are the Xperia ones; the rest are pretty much useless.

I stopped giving away stuff to so-called refugees when I realized that in hungary, mostly local gipsies stand in lines to get free things and then sell them

old android phones are still usable if you flash a modded android to it
The original Walkman came out in the late 1970s; the iPod didn't come out "shortly after." Sony also had a few other portable players in the interim, including the Discman, a portable CD player, and there were many, many competitors to both the Walkman and the Discman on the market. The iPod wasn't even the first portable mp3 player, it's just the first one that gained a huge amount of popularity.

The first MP3 player was the "MPman" I think
I got at least 40 old phones. Most of them are Nokia and Sony Ericsson. But also got other brands. It's awesome to see old phones again. Thanks for the video Elliot!

When you said small phone, i remember the Nokia 6510. It was so awesome, and one could record audio on it. So used to record my favorite song on it and listen to it through a headset connected.
Some xperias have a weak frame and bend. Might not be the battery expanding but the entire phone bent/warped
Kinda reminds me a DankPods video....absolutely love this format with phones 😍😍
Should consider sending these 2 Xperia to Vince from my mate Vince. i recon he take up the challenge if you are happy to potentially write these offs if he does non-intentionly breaks them.
That iPod Nano 7th gen is pretty cool! It supports AirPods and other bluetooth headphones as well!
I'd watcha series of "Elliot gets hauls of stuff and looks at it." Entertaining to see some old stuff again.
The white 4, how long did you put it on the charger for? Might leave it over night plugged in, its probably dead dead and needs a few hours to wake up again. Otherwise, great haul!
I find it interesting that you're more keen on phones that are nostalgic for you. For me, phones that Im wildly unfamiliar with are far more interesting
I have previously had an iPod Mini where I changed the hard drive for a Compact Flash card (must be ATA compatible). It's also fairly easy to change the battery.
I actually have a Sony Ericsson from I guess early 2000's and it still works just fine but I needs a sim card to run, although, it works just fine with an inactive one I use.
Loving the Nugget Dip so far!
Hey! Just a heads up if a ipod says its dead but on the top full power it may be a battery sensor fail. Dont worry though! Just put it on charge and your good to go!
Those Xperias have made that bag worth £40. If resold you are certainly going to double up at least.
The tiny Sony Ericsson is the t600, it's a redesigned Ericsson t66, both were great phones back then but both suffered from drop in reception few months after usage (had 3 units replaced under warranty, yet still love it) The iPod wasn't Apple's answer to the walkman, it came 10+ years after it 😊
try and use one of the smaller 30-pins for the white 4, I have two 4’s out of four that refuse to charge with the 30-pin with the two locks on the sides
Definitely try a repair on the white 4S! What a beaut!
fun stuff!
I would love to see you try to repair a modern iphone like the 13
Send the pink iPod to Dankpods, see if he can do something dumb and fun with it
The iPhone 4’s with an antenna band on top is 4, and those without is 4s!
Elliot. The white iPhone 4 is a 4 and the black one is a 4s. the normal 4 runs ios 7 and the 4s runs 9 as the newest os. Also the antennas are different on both ones
The old iphones are still really cool if you jailbreak them. Im still using the iphone 5s and im extremely happy with it.
I am getting some dank pods vibes
The Xperia phones have some sort of exclusive playstation capabilities or something from what I remember. You might have been able to use remote play with it at some point with the ps3 or with the ps4 before the remote play app became available for all android and apple phones. I know for sure that it had some sort of playstation exclusive capability.
The ipod was apples answer to piracy. Mp3 players definitely existed before the ipod, but mostly used to play pirated mp3s from file sharing software. ipod was made in order to be used with itunes to combat piracy
I had an Xperia like you found (as i remember, the big one is L1 and smol boi is something from the X lineup), definetly worth changing battery in it.

Had the lightning socket clogged on my iPhone 5 like that. Lightning sockets seem prone to gathering pocket fluff
I've used Xperia M4 Aqua and Xperia XA before, and the battery replacement is actually not hard as I replaced the batteries on both of the phones. I don't think it changed on these 2 you have
Noone has ever said the sentence "Sony made the walkman, and Apple came in with the iPod shortly after that." Good summary of how that went. Walkman 1979 iPod 2001

I think he is talking about the Walkman MP3 player series
4s is my current phone after every android I own shit the bed. Yes, fix the fours.
Nice stuff.
The iphone would be a cheap and easily fix. So definitely worth it. I've still got my old one despite not using it. I just love the little thing, so I can't let my first iPhone go. 😂
What a wonderful stash of nuggets
Great video 📹 👍🏼
For the iPod touch, try pressing volume up, then volume down and then press and hold power until iTunes logo shows up.. connect to computer with iTunes, update and restore
I like the Sony Experias I would even use them now if I had them
I had that iPod touch ( different colour) back in day
I still have my Nokia 3310 that I got given to me at age 9 when it was first released in the year 2000 and it’s still going strong. 👍🏻
i went all digital with my music in 1999 two years before apple made the ipod and ive never used or owned an ipod mp3 players were around for at least 2 years before that apple was late to the party
Back when phones were fun
I need one Xperia for sure!! Actually I'm watching this on my Sony Xperia l4 lmao
I had a nano 7th gen in gold and I loved it it has so many songs on it but it is bootlooping so I am gonna fix it
Where can you shop for these mystery bags? I want some :c
Where did you buy that lot? Would love to start my repair and modding journey.
This was a good video
Xperia L1 and XA1 I believe
I had an iphone 4 that was stuck on a blank screen after putting a battery in it after it had been off for a long time. I could tell it was charging up because my PC saw it in itunes. I did a hard reset and the screen started working again. So maybe let it charge a bit then try a hard reset (hold in home and power for 10 seconds or so)
Btw as someone who has the nano 7th gen you got it correct and mines in black
worth it for the ipods alone.
First thing I'd do is check the cable for the iPhone that didn't want to charge. The old ones broke even easier then the ones used now.
I love ur videos I hope to see more of this!!!
Not fair can't go live while I'm watching this 🤣
The black iPhone is a 4S and the white iPhone is an original 4. You can tell by the black lines on the side/top of the iPhone.
the nugget lucky dip 2 electric boogaloo
@Elliot Coll I wonder if those Sony experience phones of her sale and maybe the pink iPod mini depending on price ?
make sure the isopropyl is dried off of the power contacts before plugging it in or you might have a pretty blue flame
A Nokia without power? That's some good CGI 🤣
7:02 you can tell if it's an iphone 4 or an iphone 4s by looking at the top where the audio jack and microphone are. If there is a black stripe (antenna) next to it, it's a 4s. if the top doesn't have the stripe, it's an iphone 4. So the black one was an iphone 4s, the white one was an iphone 4
what kind of charity shops do you have in jersey?? im in bristol and I’ve never found phones like this
If you like seeing arkanoid on that old iPod, how about seeing doom on that very same device? Rockbox has a port of it 😄
Woooow, I've wanted Sony Xperias for SO LONG... I legit bought a purple one years ago but had to return it as I couldn't use it on local network... 😭😭😭
I used to have the second xperia the model is Sony xperia L1
The Sony xperia r easy to put battery in then and still get the battery off Ebay
Where did you buy the bag of phones from?
I’d blur the back of the 3310, the number on the back is still quite visible because it’s scratched in, in case that number is still active.
You had me at 3310.
3:33 omg i have the same ipod mini It is a second gen one and i have one that i use daily has an amazing battery life Edit: go find dank pods on how to open them You take the bottom and top off which is glued and you unscrew the brackets, then unplug the click wheel in the bottom and everything sort of slides out
How did you get all these phones ipods
Sony invented the Walkman in 1979. My first phone was a Nokia 2110.
I'd love to see a collab with DankPods
3rd one is a sony ericsson t600
woo elliot got the ipod mini 2nd gen in pink
hooray the sequel
I had that iPod Nano 6th generation. Unfortunately, after 2 times through the washer, it stopped working.
I've got a Nokia 310 the really good 🎉
Every person should have at least one Nokia charger at home.
The iPhone 4 i had so much problem with connection that i turned it in after 7 days and got my money back. I didn't have an iPhone until 6 and 6 Plus. Then my 6 Plus got water damaged and i went for Samsung afterwards which had waterproof phones after the 6 plus.
