UPDATE: DO NOT BUY THIS SADDLE BAG. I just got back from a 150k ride and this shitty saddle bag kept slipping off the boa dial strap. Even to a point where the whole thing just fell onto the ground. 👎👎👎 Follow up video here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZqmHustvhLbXaLA.htmlsi=OkR81PLWmiLhV0L0

Had a small puncture on my TPU tube before, it leaked faster than butyl, but not catastrophically. Maybe if it was a bigger cut, but then butyl would also leak v fast if it is a cut.

They're really good, but I do wish that their clip is wider, so they can fit more than just their Viio clip standards for rear lights. Had to swap them out since I swapped over to Enfitnixs' automatic rear light.

Swapped from Butyl to TPU tubes s and never looked back. Noticeable easier acceleration and comfort. Also bought an electric pump for ever in case a roadside top up is needed, replaced my portable foot pump, lighter, more compact and pumps the tyre up faster than myself pumping, and no CO2 cartridge wastage to deal with, the only drawback being loud noise

not bad. I'm a fan of the saddle bag because it's in an aero position. nice vid. not much alternatives. you could have the burrito bag on the front handlebar. or a top tube bag which people like to store snacks. I think saddle is the sleekest of the options. or you need to trick one of your friends to carry all the accessories so that they can rescue you lol

I recently switched to top tube bag (Topeak Fuel bag) from sadllebag. My stem is high so it looks flush with stem. I use it for pump, tools and TPU spare and for gels etc. Cargo bibs for phone. Just wraps in pockets.

Welcome to the saddle bag gang XD The other Silca saddle bag design has been excellent for me though, the classic looking one with boa dial. no faffing about, stayed on without needing adjustments from day one.

Lezyne Road Caddy is what use. Fits electric mini pump, levers, spare tires, and multi tool. Pretty much thats all you need for commuting and weekend ride. Worst case, call the Wife ubber 😂 Do have bigger saddle bag but that if im out of town and needs to be self sufficient.

have to switch to TPU tubes full time! So much nicer, and comfy. Also Skingrowsback nano bag is even smaller if you want a super neat/small saddle bag!

like you, Not a big fan of the saddle bag, but I do have one IF I'm going on a super long ride - or a small compact handlebar bag. But otherwise, I have a pocket organizer, essentially a wallet that is the size of a cycling jersey pocket which fits everything I need - co2 cartridge, TPU inner tube, keys, earphones, tire levers, money ID. currently using the Lezyne Pocket Organizer. Oh, I also carry an extra hand pump in my jersey pocket just incase.

I use the silca asymmetrico too, you should fold down the top flap first, then roll it up

I used this in the past and for me it would always end up slipping. Sometimes it would be fine for 5 or 10 rides but eventually it would always slip.

i think SILCA missed the mark in the ease of use category. Also with the increase of mechanisms will also cause more points of failure. Most of the money went into those BOA dials. Also you need to get on LATEX tubes saves 5 watts per wheel compared to BUTYLE.

It’s more of a “stack” than a “roll” bag. You didn’t fold it correctly if that is how you folded it in the video. Right flap 1st and then left flap goes over the right flap. Fold it and stack it tight. Rearrange the items if any items are loose and not solidly fitting together in the stack. Then do the big Velcro strap (also do it tightly) and shape/shift the bottom or top layer so it’s stacked properly. If any corners are sticking out, stuff it in (should fit / tuck into the big Velcro piece). Done correctly, you should just have a solid “roll” that can then be BOA’ed to the rails. I’ve had this seat roll for 3 years and it’s been working as intended. It just needs a little “figuring out”.

Over engineered and unnecessary. Small and sleek ones like Lezyne just works perfectly.
