Got me a physical copy myself, amazing work they did with the storyline and gameplay. The camera, I didn't care for sometimes, but beggars can't be choosers! Lost paradise was what got me into the yakuza series as well, that says volumes about its quality even if it is not clone of....I heard part 2 was the closest to lost paradise. I think a video game based on the anime OVA "M.D. Geist" would be great and somewhat simple to pull off amazingly, just use the dark souls format with a twist of metal gear solid and a bit of dynasty warriors.

16:50 largely from what I gathered, the reason Ken lost to shin was because he was "Heir" to Fist of the north star in name only. Ken hadn't mastered the style yet and was also reluctant to use the power of hokuto to its fullest afraid he may hurt or kill someone. There's actually an entire ova (I think u can find it subbed on KZread) that shows when he finally became the Kenshiro we're most familiar with.

Shin beat Kenshiro the first time they fought basically because Ken was a really soft, gentle, certified Wifeguy™ who loved his girlfriend so, so much. His brothers even thought he was the weakest among them, and only their master saw the potential in him... because Hokuto Shinken is all about love. You gotta love someone (Or in Toki's case, everyone, because he's Jesus) deeply to be the strongest. Shin kidnapping Yuria was a colossal fuckup. He made Kenshiro realize that he loved Yuria even more than he thought he did, and the very thought of not having her by his side Released The Beast from inside him. What I mean is... Hokuto no Ken is about loving your partner so freaking much that you gonna murder half the world just to be by their side again. What a classic. What a hero.

Fun Facts: This would be the last time Kamiya voiced Ken. I believe this is Rei's VA's last appearance before his death. If you finish a level without dying, you unlock the boss in the VS mode. All the OST is from the original anime. It is an adaptation of the first part of the manga, it covers up before the time skip? I do not believe Ryuga and the Hokuto Lapis Fisters are in this.

The reason Shin beats Kenshiro the first time is because Kenshiro still lacked the intent to kill. The reason Kenshiro wins their rematch is because he no longer hesitates to kill his former friend. Much to the horror of Shin who realizes that he created a monster. However, Shin's death also shows Kenshiro to not let his rage blind him.

I remember seeing this previewed waaaaay back in a Playstation magazine, got I wanted it. At that point I had only seen the animated movie from 86 and the craptastic, yet still charming live action movie, but I loved them all the same. Years went on and I completely forgot that it was a PS1 game, in my memory it was on PS2 because of how good it looked, until relatively recently when I was looking it up. Since then I've read the manga and watched through most of the TV series, and have to say I definitely love the series even more, but I still want this game. On a side note, when Shin ambushed Ken and Yuria prior to the events of the story Shin might have had the edge over Ken at that point, as Ken reveals in their fight that it was Shin's betrayal and near killing of Ken, and Ken's desire for revenge and to save Yuria that leads him to becoming the wasteland saviour we all know and love.

God, those QTE sequences are unforgiving. I have the game on my Sony Xperia play and performing them on the tiny D-pad almost destroyed my thumbs.

So one day me and my buddies are watching Fist of the North Star on his computer and this glass mug that was in front of the speaker just blows up after one those crazy punches. Don't know how it happened, ghost maybe? Boosh!

There is a fist of the north star puching arcade machine where you punch the machine boxing pads as they come up.

The bad: the cinematics from here on can get quite lengthy, and you cannot skip them. Have a cellphone or something to keep you busy while they play out. The good: this game has clearly a lot of passion and dedication to FotNS. The gameplay gets more interesting and challenging, you unlock characters for VS mode, and in my opinion this is the best home console game of Kenshiro.
