Its okay to be hollow. But its not okay to stay hallow. Fight for your humanity.

It has been said before: beating Dark Souls is pretty similar with fighting against depression, or against a difficult time in general. You fail. You keep failing. And you have no clue what you're doing wrong. Then suddenly you make a new plan and it surprisingly works. But you've only beaten a boss, there are still plenty. Eventually you've played Dark Souls like 5 times already with 5 different builds and everything becomes very easy. You're almost amazed at how good at beating Dark Souls you have become. And then you die to a single hollow in the most stupid way. And you understand you can't be perfect. But you don't need perfection if you have patience. Patience is the key.

Quarentine put me in a depressed state. I dont own any dark souls games but ive owned Bloodborne simce 2015 and never beat it. During quarintine i saw the game disk countless times and then i played it. I died to Gascoigne 15 times but I killed him. Sure its not dark souls but Bloodborne made me relize the fight i have. Im now 1 trophy (one ending) away from platinum on bloodborne. Now I have the dark souls trilogy waiting to play.

sometimes you wish this did only apply to dark souls. but every time i start drifting with the song, it goes from dark souls to my life. it hurts, but its cleansing, just to look back and see where you were, where you are now, and see all thats come from your pain. through "dying so many times," youve gotten stronger. the best thing i found when youre in a tough time is repeat those last few lines, "this is not the end of me, this is the beginning." with that attitude, you can take on anything the world throws at you.

I will admit that Dark souls made this song come in to my life but god does this feel like a piece of art, i normally do not get sentimental about music but this piece is moving. I'd like to believe it adequately represents the struggle you go through story wise in Dark souls as well.

Beyond any set back, beyond any fall, we can come back. Not because we want to, usually; Because we owe it to ourselves to not be told, "You can't win" or "You will fail forever more". By our need to feel accomplished, maybe even our duty to be satisfied, we get back up from our place. The whole of ourselves are greater than the parts that make us. Omg this song staright speaks to me. Forget that The Pruld sent me or whoever elsee. This song tells me it's okay to show weakness and want to give up but it stresses that you SHOULDN'T! You need to keep pushing forwards as it's almoat always worth more to break down the barriers people try to push on you. It's better to not know exactly what the future holds for you since our impatience would cost us. It tells me everything is fine simce no matter what...you're alive and tomorrow is something to look forward to.

Man, this song is just the best!

Such an underrated artist

I thought I had gotten so far, so far away from my weak days where i was such a petulant anxious child, as it turns out I just had moments of courage that lead to the a routine that I found just as comfortable. Now that routine has changed I find myself in the exact same spot I was in 4 years ago mentally. I have died once again, and it hurts so damn badly, this song hits all of the notes for me personally, and I am grateful for ever being able to hear it.
