True, I have a lot of good things like calm, brave, trustful, Fast learner, know a lot of things even though Im still young, won't stop until I finish what I started, but I would do a 6 spelling mistake in an exam and lose 6 marks and get punished for spelling. And they only look at the bad things, but never the good things :'(

Parents are human too. Most are trying to take care of us the best they can, and they can only hope to raise us better than how their parents raise them.. so we can do the same for the next generation of kids and try our best. Because we’re all human right? Raising someone and being a huge influence can be really difficult. (I’m not excusing parents that are abusive or alcoholic, but yknow…)

So me crying almost everday is a sign that i found something that make me stronger and better?

I first heard this song when I was in middle school. I was part of a select group of students to do a bullying campaign and suicide prevention presentation in front of the whole school. I remember seeing the presentation they made; they showed all the students and kids who committed suicide in our grade level within five years while this song played. It breaks me down to think about it still. But I’m glad it was so impactful on me. It’s a big cause that I hope more people can learn to ask for help.

And yes. Depression is REAL. School,tests, dumb papers with questions on them, ect.. Aren't important. I thought you said that family comes first. i love this song with all my heart. in the past, i did just like the voice and the soundtrack, but never listened to the words. then i fell into a state of feeling the need to hide everything and save everyone else's life when in the end, I was just ending my own. now that i've overcome that stage in my life, this song brings me to my knees in praise. i'm glad to have known this song a while back, and being able to return to it today as a new person :)

Me and my best friend just stopped being friends after years. I gave her every piece of me and after so long, she decided she didn't need me anymore. I could see it coming but I didn't expect it to end as rough as it did. I remembered this song after like 2 or 3 years of not listening to it. She treated me pretty badly but I still tried and tried. This song makes me feel better cus my thoughts were "if I did this" or "if I hadnt". Blaming myself. I'm only human

Same here no one knows how much they've hurt you till it's too late..😔 the judge you and see your mistakes but they never notice the pain or sadness you're in they say words that hurt you and in the end you think they're right and you're just alone floating around in blue and black avoid or abyss slowly thinking out your mistakes and how to make yourself perfect but you just drive yourself insane and you grow a long ass beard you hide your sadness you smile you force to laugh but deep down you want to die and nothing stopping you they snap at you they always tell you stop complaining you're overreacting the world doesn't revolve around you when you already know that and you just want to feel loved but they never notice all they see is your mistakes you're imperfections your flaws your shit your attitude even though you wouldn't have these flaws or imperfections if they listen to you you get mad easily you're depressed you're sad everyone hate's 99% of the time they get mad at you they always have to have the last word and you really feel like you're alone and can rely on yourself for everything you never asked them for anything you feel like you can't trust them you do everything alone you cry when no one's around and you feel like everything and everyone hates you and wants you dead sorry if this is dark

Okay everyone listen up: You know that one person that would probably listen to and understand all your problems? Yep the one you just thought about. Go to this person/ call this person and just tell them ‘Hey i’m not feeling that good lately’, if they deserve the amazing person you are, they will tell you to talk to them and talk about your problems. This will be so relieving, it’s not normal to be sad all the time so change it. Ps if you don’t have a person like this, get a therapeut. It’s not weird to have one at all and you don’t have to be depressed to deserve one. I promise you it will all be better soon so pls don’t give up!! ❤❤❤

@@suit_cow, I am not sure if I'm depressed anxiety or anything. some days I feel like I should kill myself others it is a day that will consist of me laying down in my parent's bed because it is the only place I feel safe and cry. when I hear somebody coming I dry my tears and when they ask why my eyes are red I say I'm tired. I tried a lot these days. But some days I think that I am making this up just to get out of school or to make my small measly efforts seem great. my only goal in life is to get to MIT and i know i will never get there. I am not ok, or am I edit thanks for the 4 likes 4 is a small number but it is still huge to me

I think this song tells stories of ordinary people, just trying to be better than before... More than they realise themselves. At 1min :45sec, the backstage vocals give off a sort of angelic vibe in storytelling of ordinary citizens, deciding to make hard choices and to become miracles or just something else better. But overall, it's just one of the best songs in the world. a sad surprise that this song has not been used in a movie. A great and compellingly uplifting track.

I think this is one of those songs that so many people can relate to because of the message it gives. Music is a teens way of escape. We all have had challenges but the best way to really get out is by helping yourself then helping others. Karma is only a bitch if you make it that way.

I’ve only had depression once before in my life and my parents made me go to therapy. I never really talked to my therapist and eventually got over it on my own. This song just brings back those memories, but not in a bad way. It’s almost as though it’s the missing piece to my healing. I know it’s hard please just hang in there, you are loved and I love you. Please just don’t… do it. 💕💕💕

I hide all my emotions and all my pain I give support to prevent that I give some people a reason to smile We all give so much but receive so little We don’t deserve how we are treated “People who smile and laugh so much in the day, cry themselves to sleep each night”

I'm 25 and currently working fulltime and going to school full time, I'm currently living with my uncle while i finish school and he still jabs at how much I sleep

Of course this is a sad song but I also find it kind of calming because the lyrics tell that it's okay to cry and to break down and not to be okay.

When my old classmate committed suicide, my aunt said that teenagers nowadays are weak, sensitive and fragile and nothing compared to them when they were younger... And I hate everything about what she said. Auntie, we are coping with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, self-destruction, cyber bullying, fat shaming, sleeping disorders, trust issues, tiredness, school, future, high expectations, poverty, low self-esteem, mental breakdowns, physical abuse, verbal abuse and the urge to run away from everything EVERY SINGLE DAY. I agree I hate when parents are like “Your a kid you don’t have any stress in your life.” Like we have enough stress from school but then we also have the stress of always trying to impress you and not be disappointments. Stress is not a age ruled thing stress is universal no matter the age, gender, or religion everyone has stress and I wish some parents would realize that.

U will do good for others and not get it back people will think your happy when inside your slowly breaking down try to find someone who will understand and continue to make u happy. - from someone who never gets it back

Reading all of these coments made me understand that i'm not alone on this fight against depression. Thank you🥲
