Rotten hi! i’m japanese and i’m not too sure about how they’ll do your hair, but when i personally had the experience of wearing the japanese traditional clothes we put on a wig(like, a huge heavy wig lol). so maybe if you’re cool with it you could prepare your hair for wigs(i’m not sure if every single place have a wig so definitely check in with the staff before you go)

If those shoes were difficult, I'm very glad Aki didn't have to have the giant pedestal-type shoes that the top-tier oiran would wear during processions! I've seen videos of reenactments with people wearing those, and I can definitely say I have no idea how they manage it. Also, both Aki and Joey looked amazing during this photoshoot. Hmm, maybe, but they might damage the hair trying to get it into mounds There are actually wigs for these kinds of hairstyles that some geishas use :) (dunno if the escorts do) So even if the curly hair cant work with all of the pulling and shaping, you'd still get the experience of the makeover
