About running into "famous" players, I used to share a server with Drak Gamestein and the NEST raiders during Stormblood Used to run past him AFK on the Kugane bridge/market board regularly. And somehow, through some convolution of FCs I joined and left over the years... I somehow ended up with Avy Catte in my friends list. I genuine don't know when I shared an FC with her, but she's marked with the symbol I use for "Friends from FCs I've been in", so we rolled together at some point!

Yeah, sometimes you get to see some famous players in the wild just AFK, or better, in your friends list not remembering why you even have them on MMOs(especially this one since Data Center and Cross server matching exist here, lmao) . Personally, I only got run ins with KZreadrs or streamers, but I know some people who have some of them on their friend list.

Rathalos is the best mount. Mounts that actually look like they should be able to fly go hard and Rathalos is the best in that category.

So, as an ex-fps gamer, the rant at 12:50 confuses me. The act of leveling a job to 90, doing roulettes and beast tribes and dungeon spam etc. is where I perfect the job. I learn the rotation via a guide when I first pick up the job so I can actually feel competent and useful while I'm pushing through lvl 60, 70, 80. By the time I hit 90 (current max lvl at the time of writing) I've basically burned myself out on the job, and so I switch to leveling something else. "The game doesn't start until 90" just, does not compute.

To be fair, the guy comes from MMOs where leveling is a small part of the actual game. Many MMOs nowadays(you can even include FFXIV once you've finished MSQ and ignore previous endgame content) have a lot of content to do at max level, and often enough where you can say that "the real game starts" since a lot of those games' content is the endgame content.

The problem with this mentality is that along the way of leveling, some jobs change very drastically. BLM is a very good example, from 79 and below is a completely different job/rotation to 80+. So as far as "endgame" content like savage or ultimate raids you absolutely need to know your rotation and class better than you can learn it just from leveling. Granted the unsync'd raids Kip is actually talking about doing are basically irrelevant to his point of the game starting at 90, he still is pretty much on the money.

and FF11 is a final fantasy flavored EverQuest. No quest markers, no map, having to talk to NPCs and read the dialogue and comprehend, loot tables of less than 1% drop rate. Field bosses with hrs long or days'' long spawn timers, conditional placeholders for named mobs. Walking to everywhere because the game hasn't implemented mount system yet and the Devs have added teleport system that trashes atleaste two classes core concept.

I just went through Eureka and there were plenty of people there on Crystal as long as you weren't going at extreme off times like the middle of the night or early morning on weekdays.

My rule of thumb when boosting a job is don't boost a job you are going to use unless you are willing to take the time to learn what everything it has does and how it works. Like I play only dps because I can't handle the stress of tank/healer and I zone out a lot in fights, so I boost tanks and healers and don't play them unless I'm in palace of the dead on my own. I won't subject anyone but myself to my bad tanking/healing. Sure I'm not the best dps to have around, but I at least take notes from other dps of the same job as me. This isn't me knocking the tank and healer jobs, this is me admitting to my own lack of ability in those fields. But yeah, if you want to boost then either do it only for those jobs you don't play or with the intent to study the job afterwards and learn how to play it before doing any raids/dungeons/any content that requires other players.

The Eureka Discords are pretty much for only doing the Baldesian Arsenal, the raid at the end.

Yeah level skipping healers is tough, like i see people saying you can skip Sch by leveling as Summoner, which is true, but oh god, if the first time you try sch is 80 or 90, your gonna get so much button vomit.

Not trying to be rude or anything but I'm getting kinda bothered by Kip pausing every few minutes to explain every little thing. I understand this is how he does his videos but I just find it annoying and flow breaking. I'd appreciate it if you did this less please. Love your videos anyway.

if you just want to watch the pint video then don't watch react content. The entire point of react content is to hear the persons opinions and information.

@@MascottDeepfriar Actually, watching react content is often to see the youtuber's laughing at said content. So when I check these, I expect them to pay attention and occasionally burst out laughing whenever a joke pops on. Makes me feel like I'm watching a video with a friend. So no, not everyone is on these for their opinions or information.
