DJI definitely looks better with the auto settings, but I suggest changing the white balance and contrast settings in the gopro. Can definitely get some better results with better settings. The Loam Ranger has a great video on it. Awesome job on your video tho!

Awesome video man. DJI for the win! No overheating issues, and as far as I've seen, most, if not all GoPros have issues with videos freezing, I'm still using a Osmo Action 1, and it's been pretty reliable and I haven't had any issues. Enjoy, God bless and stay safe!

How much better would you say the osmo action 3 is than the action 1? I’m considering to buy a DJI. I wanna know if I should go all out and the action 3 or save some money and get the action 1

The footage on the DJI was nicer to watch IMO. Howler looks like a blast.

As you asked, I'll also give MY opinion on the footage comparision: Stabilization, Brights, Shades, Color were al more enjoyable on the Osm 3 and I think, as you gain expierience it'l only develop into something better

I recommend the dji action 2 aswell ! Same sensor as action 3 buy in way way smaller and lighter package, it can also be found for cheaper

That Polygon N9 is like a dream bike for me, I'd love to own one but sadly I could never afford such a bike. It looks awesome though and looks like it rides so smooth and fast. Gotta go with the DGI here, to my eyes the wider FOV and visibly higher resolution looked better.

Evan i believe you should try both these cameras again with better settings . I have seen really cool stuff through go pro but the dji looks promissing too . If i were you i would search on youtube for each camera's best settings . Anyways , this polygon looks stunning!

Well you are doing non of the cameras justice, if default/auto settings is what you are using. But I agree that with these settings you use the dji is better looking 😊

@@EvansMTBSaga you need to put good settings on the gopro. The loam ranger has a video showing very good settings. The gopro is known to have terrible auto settings but if you set them up right it will look better than the action 3 any day. Also you need to do the test on the same section doing the same speed because you were going slow in the gopro footage you showed compared to the action 3.

i have a first gen dji osmo action and it's been great the whole time, in case anyone sees a deal or something on an older gen they're also good

I think the DJ1 looks better, but you should definitely try messing with the settings on the GoPro 👍

Have the DJI osmo action 1 and the action 2 as well as GoPros and I always go for my djis

It's pretty night and day; DJi wins in a landslide. I know it's sponsored and all, but I'd say my official vote is for you to use whatever is easiest for you. If it's easier to use the gopro with different settings, use that. If the DJi in full auto saves you some time in the edit... go for it! ps... that place looks hella fun!

Great video, Evan. You really need to shoot in raw/flat and make your adjustments in editing. You can get a lot more out of both of these cameras.

I'm so happy you addressed go pros having bad lighting issues. I filmed a long ride technical ride yesterday and was hoping for it to be a one and done type situation but the footage ended up being fooked because the gopro has such bad lighting. I've been looking at the osmo for awhile but after this I may have to get one!

I have actually been to howler and it looks crazy, unfortunately I crashed pretty good on stroller coaster😂 had to go to the hospital before I finished the first trail. I would love to go back someday!

@@EvansMTBSaga yeah it was the green trail, it was also my first Mtb trail, I am still really excited about getting into mountain biking but I am 15 and getting the money to do it is kind of hard. I bought a full suspension bike from bass pro last year but I am starting to notice a lot of limitations with it, it only has 100 mm of travel and the geometry is more xc oriented. I would love to get a polygon full suspension someday!

I'm about to purchase the Action I've been using Drown and gimble from Osmo for a couple of years now and just get on with there product and quality

I think the the overall quality of the Dji (stabilization, image and lens distortion) is better than Gopro's. GoPro is great too, but I vote Dji.

15:05 I’m a little bias towards the DJI. They were the first to put dual screens on their cameras. Plus it’s way better out of the box. I would like to see a comparison to the Insta360. Maybe even the Insta360 X3.

no issues with the shock mounted that way? piggy back not hitting the top tube or so when mounted in "Reverse". ?

I used to wear sunglasses riding, but not have opted for clear glasses looking like a dweeb. lol The shadow of the trees on the trails in AR and MO really make it difficult to get a grasp of depth while riding features and sketchy lines. I see you were riding with clear goggles. But I think the DJI handles it a little better than the gopro. Its still hard to watch overall, so I appreciated the creative editing cuts.

Maybe you had polarized sunglasses? Usually you want your lenses not polarized for that exact reason..

@@SHINDIGLORDS even the non polarized sunglasses have the same effect on me. I think it’s just me, cuz other people I ride with love having sunglasses and can see just fine riding. My brain just can’t connect the two together. lol

I got a go pro 11 last year, both your video's and my own ones only seem to work when streaming 4k, the gopro seems not to be set up right, but out of the box with default settings the Osmo seems great, im a big fan of both brands, however DJI seem to be taking the lead when it comes to quality control as I know my gopro has had some minor issues and i dont hear the same from the Osmo, based on that and the content in this video Osmo wins for this mate, however thats not to say the gopro is bad. I gotta say the DJI 'package" with audio and video and charging cases is brilliant. great video as always mate, thanks.

whats the build date on your action 3? if than thing was built oct 2022 or less ask for a replacement. it has focusing problems. i have a action 3 that has a build date of dec 2022 and the video quality is just second to none..

I’m looking at getting a Giant trance 29 2. I was wondering what your thoughts on that bike would be?

Brand new Osmo3 for Free and trip paid for vs what GoPro? The GP11 has much better stabilization than the older models so is this an Apples to Apples comparison? I have seen excellent vids with most GoPros . I have the 7/9 versions. Osmo 3 is a great camera but this looked like the Osmo won before the video started.You had no intention on using the GoPro if you are partnering with DJI. LOL.

You should try out nd filters for the camera they will do wonders for you

The DJI look better but it's the same for both, if you watch in 1080p the quality will be fucked because of youtube compression from 4k to 1080p (4k footage on a 1080p monitor looks way better). I wish i have a fast internet to watch in 4k.

95% of it. Some 3rd person shots were my phone and then the shots of the camera were from my nice Sony

I think dji look better, but i sugest trying insta 360

There were a lot of white artifacts in your video closing.

you gotta upload in 60 fps. otherwise both cams doesnt look that much different
