Awesome work once again! Just a tip, when you are waxing chains you should put them in ice cold water after having the chain in the molten wax, the ice water makes the wax dry inside the links faster and the wax doesn't have time to melt and come out from inbetween the links, lubing the chain better.

Yeah from the video you can tell the bike is much better but as 800 usd was the budget a new bike would've suited him much more. the dropper is not his height neither the frame which looks to be a size down so in my view he only made it worse by upgrading instead of going out and buying him a new bike.

I was told by the owner of the store were I bought the bike from that I could of bought a better bike for less than I spent on upgrading this one. I ended up putting XT components, Thomson Elite bar and stem, and a Chris King headset. Oh well, it's how I wanted my bike to look. Hopefully your buddy enjoys his bike upgrades🤘🤘

Dude I snagged an eBay dropper for 30. It was a new takeoff from one of those rental citibike things. Weighs like 3 pounds. Manual drop lever with no remote option, not adjustable for saddle angle, only 100mm of travel. Basically the worst dropper imaginable. It’s still a million times better than not having a dropper. Also, I love continental tires. They’re cheap and ride super well. Super happy with them.
