The Onigiri you got at 7-11 actually has a tab at the top that you rip off and slide the wrapper out on each end, so you dont even need to move the nori. It stays wrapped around the rice and only gets into contact with the nori once you take the wrapper off.

@@jamesbanios9476 Yeah sure, thats what my dad and I thought too, go to Japan for a grand each and maybe 2 grand of food there, yeah with the hotel, meals, and trip to Kyoto, that 4,000 really quickly turned into 10,000. The restaurants he went to easily cost 400-3,000 each because there were 3 people, Don't get me wrong, the experience is an incredible once in a life time thing, but when the room service the night you get in cost 400 it gets a little pricey. Don't get me wrong though, there are tons of much cheaper places where you may not be able to eat the best sushi, but you will get to eat things like the best ramen, katsu, and yakatori, you won't get to have the special otoro, redsnapper, and the wagyu. Definitely still would recommend, Tokyo is the most beautiful city in the world by far even more so than Paris, Barcelona, NYC, LA, Zurich, etc. Its so clean, theres a beautiful garden on every block, most people are super respectful except for the racist old people, and the street life is amazing.
