On the 4th day of my social media detox challenge, I visited the Carpathian fields of Verkhovina to learn the process behind cheese making. One of the most popular foods of the Carpathians is cheese and the Carpathian cheeses are among the best in the world; very natural, exquisite and healthy. They have different types- Vurda, Burdz and Brinza. Brinza having the highest shelf-life of about 3 years. I tasted them all!
The Carpathian people are very healthy people ad I often noticed how older people are still very active on their farms. The story of the Carpathian people isn't just one to be heard, but one that should be experienced. Thanks to the people of Verkovina for this amazing tour.
