Any tips for Postpartum hair loss? 😅 please share ❤

Was advised to keep it natural for a while to preserve the edges. I used the Jamaican black castor oil and it did help to regrow my edges. Funny thing is, apart from my edges, the rest of my hair grew nice and thick after my baby🤦‍♀️

Low manipulation and keep taking your postnatal vitamins. I did the same with my first cut it all off. Now a year after my second my edges are growing back. I still lose a bit but keeping on top of hair care routine helps. As I much as I can with toddlers.

I shaved all mine off after 8 children. Definitely keep it natural. Spray rosemary water every morning and night and oil at nights, especially focus on thinning areas

I did the big chop years ago. It made me feel better to know that all the hair that is regrowing is healthy.

Motherhood comes with lots of changes in our bodies, weight gain weight loss, pimples, loss of hair. Mothers are true Gems. You look amazing in short hair n brings out your beautiful smile.

First of all Kimmy, you're a natural beauty. Shaving it off won't make you less pretty, I do think trying to maintain damaged hair will cost you more time and money, just face your fear and shave Sissy, and you will see it will grow back healthier and easier to maintain. All the Best❤

You look great! Good that you are sharing, when my hair started falling off 5 months post partum I have done a lots of Google search and never found a video. I was loosing the edges but also had a big whole in the middle of my head, very thin hair, I thought it was alopecia. I have shaved my head, no styling or braiding for another 9 months, I was only using olive oil and Shea butter, and a follicle boost spray, shampoo&cond… now my hair is back to normal, full head. Your hair will grow back strong and healthy. Nice video.

My boy is about the same age as your little one. To prevent extreme hair loss I used to use breastmilk on my scalp. I just set aside alittle bit. I've retained my hair volume and my hair also grew (added advantage😊).

That's why it's recommended to take postpartum supplements most of which contain Biotin. But one thing that makes African hair break like this is kalik in water from some areas, and plaiting those typical African hairstyles (braids, cornrows etc that pull the hair so much causing traction alopecia with time). I am a mum of three and yes I experienced loss but not that noticeable much due to precautions I took.

I equally got PP hair loss except for thinning my hair was shedding more.. Fortunately it wasn't a lot.. Don't worry Healthy hair over length

I have some loss this time, but not as bad as after my first baby. This time I only lost my edges on the left side. However, I will say that I heavily supplement with vitamins and I’m just taking better care of it. I’m washing more often and oil massaging my scalp.

I think you still look good in short hair. You need supplements and some hair products that promote hair growth. Try infused clove water and rosemary too. It really helps and protective hairstyles also something that won't manipulate your hairline and roots.

I am 24, when I got birth to my son by C Section. I had trouble getting my hair together. I had to cut it off 2 times. It still didn't help. So I had to shave it and make my head without any hair to be seen at all. So now it grew back without any issues. If I was you, I would have shaved it all.

My two cents is to avoid as much as possible, putting the hair in a ponytail when it grows back (and it will). You are not alone. Most persons have to a big chop after giving birth, especially after the first born.

You look good. Don't keep it under wrap that may also mess your hairline.

I went through the same thing with my 2nd child I never knew this was a thing. I shaved my hair 2019 I recommended clove oil and clove water works wonders (use daily) rub the clove oil on bald areas massage for 1-2 mins really helped me.

Kiimmy, short hair suits you. But I get not wanting to cut after a long a time of growing your hair. When mine was damaged, I refused to cut. I was like, even if there is one strand left on my head, I will take care of it until it falls off by itself.
