Pity they actively prevent athletes from competing in other tournaments. The sport is too small for that shit.

@@Leland387 Armwrestling is not at NBA level and there is only a small pool of elite athletes. Don't try to make anti-competitive behaviour sound acceptable. It isn't. Turkey is not the armwrestling capital of the world.

The Fix 138 will forever live in the hearts and minds of true fans of this sport, as the worst and most shameful f**k up in AW history, and should never, EVER be repeated.... Neil...!

@@Yes_I_c4nEngin wanted people to stop doing Live Commentaries of EvW events, i.e. where you don't show the video feed but you commentate the event live, so anyone who didn't like the main commentators or wanted a chatroom to chat with live could listen to the Live Commentary while still buying and watching the PPV separately. Bowen was one of the main guys doing Live Commentaries at the time and did not want to stop. Bowen thought it helped promote EvW more, whereas Engin thought it took away PPV dollars, so they butted heads pretty hard over that. Eventually Bowen was essentially banned from EvW events, and also King of the Table too I believe. Engin then started doing contracts with athletes to semi-prevent them from pulling at other organizations also, which Bowen felt was targeted at his organization AWE in Oceania, which made their relationship even worse. I say semi-prevent because the wording on the contracts with the EvW athletes was very vague and left the inclusion or exclusion of leagues up to Engin's discretion pretty much. But they're finally starting to squash the beef it looks like!

The fact is, if they would not let the winner of the qualifying matches pull in EvW, then their whole claim saying that EvW showcases the worlds best athletes would be a joke. In order to stand behind what EvW stands for, they have to let the best pull. Otherwise, it taints the whole organization. I'm glad to hear Engin say that.

Like Travis said, if eating crow enables you to get back into Engin's good graces, do it! Everyone already knows what happened in the past and sides were taken. Let bygones be bygones. Humble youself, even if you did nothing wrong, and get back into the spotlight with the other big names of the sport. The armwrestling world is not complete without you in it, Ryan

It forces his hand to allow it. Not much to appreciate in my opinion. If he denied you, it would be an ESPECIALLY ugly move by him and from a “principle” standpoint, he won’t allow that to take place. But I can tell you for sure, he’d prefer you don’t win!!
