Ive said it before. Old school armwrestling struggle with You Tube influencers. There is a sentiment that youtubers havent done the hard yards and dont deserve the attention that wasnt afforded to them. In some regards they are right but what is underestimated is the value created by influencers to grow the sport. This has increased eyes on armwrestlers, old and new. I know more about Engin because of Ryan Bowen and Coach Ray. I love John Brzenk because of Ryan Bowen. I purchased Armwars because of Ryan and Coach Ray. I could go on but these old school guys keep banging on about lack of respect when perhaps they should pay some themselves...

As I understand it the summary of recent events between Engin and Ryan is roughly as follows: - Engin asked Ryan not to livetream the events - Ryan continued livestreaming because it is legal and there was/is no evidence that it hurts the sport - Engin then blocked Ryan - Ryan then changed his mind after Engin got upset and said he would actually stop streaming out of respect - This changed nothing - Ryan then lost Todd Hutchings for AWE due to new EVW contracts - Ryan tried to negotiate this with Engin but was not successful - Engin then stated that he will actually still work with ArmWars and MF - Ryan concluded that this is uniquely unfair to AWE and suspects it is primarily due to personal differences not professional

I'm a big fan of Engin and what he has done so far with promoting the sport with East Vs West, but he has made a mistake and is not capable or willing to admit it. I wish you all the best Ryan, what you are doing for armwrestling is anything but an enemy to the sport. I wish you good luck in dealing and moving through the obstacles that lie ahead of you.

He's the enigma of rage for a reason. He clearly loves the sport, but he doesn't make the wisest decisions, and he becomes easily frustrated. I think contracts by individual events are fine obviously, but long term exclusive ones are not ok. Non-exclusive long term contracts are also ok in my opinion.

Contracts for an event are almost legally mandatory imo. Otherwise the event could get sued when a wrestler breaks their arm or something. A contract helps provide legal protections for both the Sponsor/Promoter and athletes. It also serves as an agreement to the rules of the match, and their pay. The sport wouldn't work without some form of contract.

@@hemmydall Of course, I meant more of a short term exclusive contract where pullers agree not to pull anywhere else a month or two out from the event. That way you know they are putting in work and likely staying healthier specifically for the event they have a contract for.

Worst part of this imo is seeing my favorite pullers make videos essentially bending the knee to engin with platitudes like “he knows best” and “ anyone against engin is against the sport” . How arrogant of these people, and we all know who I’m referring to. I got into the sport post pandemic like most, so for me it has always been a sort of wild west, which was appealing. Seeing things go this direction is not what I wanna see.

Engin is just an angry Turk, who is wayy too emotional to run an armwrestling league. He should not be able to run the rule over who and where people pull, expecially when hes singling out promotions, hes trying to play god and I think the Enigma of Ego needs a reality check. Id like to see armwrestling fans take a stand on this and make him see the error of his ways.

He's selfishly damaging the integrity of the whole community. Truly disappointing, he'll never see another dime from me. I back Blue 💪✊

Don't jump to conclusion, Ryan is acting as if engin said that Australia, Asia sux in.armwrestling and wants to restrict them. It's not, the contracts are not exclusive. Athletes can go to other events as far as they don't coincide with a match at evw. Simple as that. Imagine organizing a match, and then athlete pulling out coz they wanna pull at another event. It's hard to replace etc. Watch the promoter point of view. I'm so sure engin won't prevent an athlete to make some money by going to another event as far as it doesn't disturb his event. So, just plan events to be far apart one from another. Simple as that. Let's also not forget that evw and kott offered the best revenue to the athletes so far. Other promotions are small. If they wanna pull there for nothing, their business, but u can injure yourself etc. I think those other leagues should be opportunities to qualify for evw etc and then have a contract. If he offers guaranteed matches etc, pro armwrestlers could make a living of it instead of winning 1000$ and having to pay 700 for travels and hotels and keeping 300..

I'd be approaching the International Sports Federations and anyone other regulatory body to investigate Engin's actions. Where is his organisation registered? If it has an 'ACCC' then I would be approaching them. Monopolies are not tolerated in most developed countries.

What’s weird is that Engin helped rid the armwrestling world of contracts. The rise of social media, Larry wheels and Engin himself completely destroyed the contract way of armwrestling and now he’s trying to bring it back full circle. As a viewer, contracts will NEVER be good. Contracts are better for armwrestlers, however during COVID there was basically a group consensus that they were doing more harm than good.

The truth is that Engin blocks everybody that dosent't see his way in 100% of the cases, i saw this very fast. And have experianced it as well,he caling me a hater when i only tried to be funny.

Ryan, it is VERY CLEAR, by Engin's own admission, that the only armwrestling organization he intends on holding back is AWE. I put up a lengthy, well organized, logical, and above all, respectful post in response to Engin's video. He deleted my post, despite my great efforts to ensure evrything was worfed carefully and without offfense. I even ended my post with praise for his contributions to the sport. What this told me is that Engin didn't want other people to read what I said. I could only conclude that he was afraid it might influence other people to think similarly. Otherwise, why delete the post? Furthermore, from what I've been hearing, the majority of the community does not agree with Engin's stsnce on singling out AWE (e.g., Ryan Bowen). To me, it appears Engin is trying to influence the community's perception by making sure opposing voices can't be heard or even seen (at least in the communication mediums he controls). It was glaringly obvious that Engin MADE SURE that there was zero opposition in his response threads. This is disappointing...because not only are many of these people fans of the sport that purchase his PPV's, but it demonstrates that Engin does not believe his own decision can be justified. If he did, he would stand for what he believes without censorship. Censorship is ONLY employed when the person doing the censoring believes that they can't convince the viewing audience that their point of view/decisions are correct. This is why we never winess censorship in areas/subjects that are easily justified. It onky takes place when something CAN'T be justified/proven correct. Censorship is THE LAST thing we need in this sport, but it has now become a tool.at Engins disposal to control the narrative. Fortunately, for anyone even moderately involved in this sport, it doesn't take a high IQ to see whats happening.

Just a thought - exclusive contracts are allowed, but if he's done a deal with competitors like Arm Wars or Monster Factory, in the UK at least, that's possibly illegal...competition laws don't necessarily apply to athletes but agreements with competitors to block out another are generally a pretty clear case here. I'm very interested to see if it really is the case that the contracts only exclude AWE or if it's that they have some agreement over which athletes compete where, what dates, etc. If they put clauses in that said "cannot compete elsewhere for 6 weeks before an EvW or KotT match" then Engin's points would actually be valid, that would be protecting his events and making sure the athletes are at their best for them. Removing fair competition from a growing market though?

So sorry Blue! You are great for the sport of AW and are one of the top brand ambassadors for AW. Don’t let a pathetic third world wannabe dictator like Engin stop you. He is a megalomaniac. Many of us have followed you from the start and even though we’ve had a chuckle at your expense from time to time, we all have a deep respect for your passion and commitment. I will support by buying any PPV that is put up by AWE. All Oceania and Asian based Armwrestlers should do the same. Make sure you keep trying to improve the marketing and quality of the production, no matter how small the jumps in quality are. It will attract younger pullers that are primed to make the next leap. If more money is available from us supporting the promotion, bigger pullers will demand to be apart of it

That's awesome of Dave 💪💪 I really thought Engin was better than that. That's unfortunate. But keep up the awesome work despite it all.

@dfens1944 yea for sure. I could tell Engin was a emotional wreck and took everything personally.. but I never thought he would go this far. That's basically taken food off of Bowens and wifes and kids table. Shewww Bowen certainly handling better than I would lol. I'd have to hop on a plane and knock on a door lol

@dfens1944 by emotions I mean like when he calls fans dumb or stupid or enemies of the sport just for simply disagreeing with him. If he would just told the truth and said I plan to take over, shut down all promotions, and stick to Ryan Bowen especially.. then it might have went easier on him but fans would've still told him to shove it lol

To be honest stuff Engin. I hope you guys win this war. Imo, this could be a massive opportunity, guys from India, east Asia, etc aren't going to EvW. AWE could unlock all these emerging nations

What i find shocking is that none of the athletes has the guts to speak up to this. I know they would get banned from the big events as well but come on! You cant support this madness when you know Engin is wrong and on his personal vendetta against Ryan. Especially the western guys who dont make a living of armwrestling. Dave Chaffee did a great thing for starters!

Fuckin hell. Contracts locked the sport into seperate niches for so long. Post covid we finally get release from that and the sport grew exponentially, so now everyone wants to regroup and lock back down again? Why not just let it go the way it was. If one grouping is better it will survive and grow on its own. This old way of locking down contract shit really turns me off from the sport.

You and Engin should make peace, that would bring armwrestling forward ! Give him a call .

The PPV prices are going up and up by Engin. Its about money and power.
