What’s your advice on transitioning from a desk adjuster position to IA working daily claims? Any tips on trying to make the change as smooth as possible? Located in CA with residential license for 3 years now working desk
Adjusters get deployed and paid by the carrier or by the ia firm ?
What is the best way for restoration vendors to build relationships with field adjusters? I have been in restoration for 10 years. I have a lot of great contacts, but the guys who really kill it have great adjuster relationships feeding them work. I have worked with several adjusters when I was in Operations at Servpro, but I could never build an ongoing relationship. My company is National and we are on most TPAs. Contractor Connection, Alacrity, etc. I’m interested in getting advice from an actual adjuster. I’m on the sales side now so I don’t have the exposure to adjusters like I used to in operations. I’d love to get your opinion. Thanks

Hey there.. well, we can't "feed" work to contractors. But when I worked daily claims from home (fires, water damage, etc) I would see the same contractors over and over again and the best guys I liked working with were friendly and not always trying to slide in extra stuff to their estimates for a better negotiating position.
I’m curious as to the pay rate for independent file reviewers. Do you have a video on that or range for daily and cat reviewers?

The pay is quite variable. Often file reviewers will be paid either by the hour or by the day/half day

@@AdjusterTV thank you. I ask bc I started reviewing and it’s by the file. And with supplements or any reason for a reopen or kickback, I don’t find the at file rate the best way to go. This is helpful.
