Remember Pearce in the Pizza adverts satirising the penalty misses. That was was too soon after the World Cup exit. and deserved the wrath of true supporters. Shows why he has no empathy with true fans.

The Big Match 's wonderful commentator Brian Moore found the matchday experience at Upton Park and Q.P.R exhilarating, both teams played football for the genuine fans of the game. His uncontrolled enthusiasm at Trevor Brooking's slide rule passing and feints, Alan Devonshire's control going past 3/4 opponents is the game Allardyce and Moyes have no feeling for. Allardyce had a purple patch at Bolton when the early use of pro-stats put him ahead of the game, mainly at the hands of backroom set-up. Moyes couldn't believe his luck at getting recommended for the United job by Ferguson. It was a bit sinister and an undercurrent of preserving his own legacy. Since then what ? We should never have gone down the same path with Moyes, it added to an unfathomable self regard. A dour , unimaginative Everton, replicated with us unfortunately, forgettable spells at Sunderland and in Spain, gives you a C.V. that barely merits a coaching job at Preston, hence the starting point.

I’m shocked at Moyes is absolutely awful style of play…u were 1 of the worst teams to play us..home and away. 1 of the problems with mainstream media is their top 6 bias and need to keep status quo..: West Ham fans are supposed to tolerate an awful style of play, even if that means they just exist by being 17th, but Man UTD, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal are City/Spurs are supposed to be ‘going places’..and they have that god given right. West Ham/Villa or even Brighton..are just feeders…do well? Their manager should move up. Players breaking records? Oh that would be great for Man UTD? Rice with record breaking CDM numbers? Pundits push for Arsenal to get.. I saw this with Watkins and how he ripped arsenal apart. The first thing the pundits said was…‘he’d be suitable for Arsenal’. When the FFP charges means City are toast, and Liverpool lose Klopp, Chelsea in decline. There is a huge gap for NUFC/West Ham/Villa to fill the gap and consolidate. Why not?? Aren’t we all in the same PL? Don’t we all have PL rights deals? West Ham have all of east London and a huge stadium…why can’t they compete in CL? Who sets these limits and why do the pundits peddle this top 6 bias? It’s strange…

I suppose the real question is, what would it take to become a really consistent top 6 team every year? More money invested in the club probably. A manager who can take West Ham to the next level. A more professional attitude throughout the whole club. I think some of us who have 55 plus years of watching West Ham have seen many highs and lows. I would love to see us playing flair attacking football, but only if we have the quality of players that can do it. I think Moyes will go at the end of the season.
