Fujimoto honestly did a masterful job leading up to this chapter. He luls everyone into a false sense of security by misdirecting us with the gang's trip as well as the alley scene, only to then bring it home with the sushi scene.

Been awhile since I felt a pit in my stomach...

I have two theories 1. Barem just made Denji eat the control devil again. 2. that was all Yoshida and Barem is about to take the fall for it. edit: feels too obvious for it to be the death devil but I don’t discard it

Yoshida did say if he goes Chainsaw-Man again they'd be showing him Nayuta's corpse, honestly at this point Public Safety are so incompetent I could almost convince myself Fami, Yoshida, Barem, Public Safety and the Chainsaw-Man church are all working directly together against Denji, playing off of each-other to force him into the impossible situation he's in.

There's probably something to the "no mole!!" Theory...Fujimoto never misses the mole, or covers it with hair. So it may be more than cope.

Chainsaws were originally used for child birth but obviously isnt safe so maybe the powers come from the fact chainsaws could kill the child and "delete" the child from existence. Idk how to word it tbh but mothers and having a motherly figure was a big part of makimas and denjis relationship so could play a big part in chainsawmans power. Im just yapping at this point but fujimoto could go anywhere so who knows 🤷‍♂️

I've been "cooking" this idea for a very long time, but apparently we are indeed at that point when all hell is about to break loose. Denji will get control over true Chainsaw Devil form, he will then vomit all devils including Nuke Devil that Chainsaw devoured in past. And he will be the one to bring the end to this world. He was the one they call "King of terror" in the prophecy. Asa will try to stop him.. That won't end well.. for anyone.. This is the moment when all character has lost their plot armor. Enjoy this moment while it last.

Fami is a curios case, she does seem to care for Asa, as her introduction to the series had her telling Asa that she would do anything for her little sister. Although we know very little about her in terms of what she really thinks. So she could just not care about nayuta. Still I’m gonna hang to to my headcannon that nayuta got saved Or that those markings on her head indicate that this is a fake or fami did something as we know from yuko that she can manipulate a person’s biology

Surely he does not react because Hunger only cares that the Control demon continues to exist, which is why he does not care about Nayuta's life since when Control dies he will simply reappear in hell. It is possible that all this is part of Hunger's plan because she is the true head of the Chainsaw Man's church and with this she will make Denji more unhappy and will have a better chance that the third incarnation of Control will want to work with her.

Why do you assume there's a caring familial bond between them? If that were the case the whole point of the Control-Devils dream would've been rendered moot right out the gate, they have no use for each-other beyond what they can use each-other for, and Yoru explicitly told Asa (purely out of self-interest mind you since she's her vessel) all the way back towards the earlier parts of part 2 to NOT trust Fami under any circumstances, she's insane, and here she is, laughing and stuffing her face with sushi made from Nayuta, weaker devils consume the flesh of stronger devils to gain strength after all.

5:45 the marks on Nayutas head look more like immolation by fire, likely done by Barem. Its probably either there so it doesnt bleed profusely, make it have "longer shelf life" or cuz Barem wants to mkae it look like he did it to piss off Denji.

This chapter broke me when I read it this afternoon... But for some reason a wried taught came to me which made it worse.. "what if what they've all been eating is Nayuta flesh right before the head comes as the final dish" I just straight up vomit after that. Then again he wrote Fire punch so I won't be surprised

As I was watching this video, I came up with theory because the more we learn about pochita, their is one question that comes to mind y does he have the ability to erase things from existence? And then I remembered that in part one pochita said towards the end that he just wanted to be hug so what if pochita is the last horsemen the death horsemen, we've come to the conclusion that the horsemen are all female devils because of control, war, and famine but what if death is the big brother of the other horsemen and that every touch or ate died and disappeared from existence and at some point he just wanted to be loved and hug so he goes under the alter ego of the chainsaw devil, like said it just theory that came to mind when watching this video I could crazy wrong so sorry

Exactly. Devils are semi immortal, meaning as long as they get blood, they can heal and survive from insane injuries that aren’t usually possible to survive. But once they are dead, they are dead. She probably is already reincarnated in hell.

I just finished this and...I just don't have the words. We all hypothesized this was what was gonna happen but actually seeing this happen is another story. I hate that I was right last week about my prediction. Asa, Katana Man, Nobana, Haruka and pretty much everyone in the restaurant (except Fami and Barem) were all disgusted. Now Denji truly has *NOTHING* to lose. Barem is truly a diabolical monster and that's saying something considering what's happened in this story since chapter 1. They want an unhinged Chainsaw Man Devil eraser, and we'll see it in future chapters. Too bad for Nayuta. Fami plotted all of this btw.

My man the fact that Chainsaw Man can erase devils has been established since the climax of part one. Even the idea that Baram has that killing Nayuta will cause Denji’s unhappiness reflects what Makima did with setting up Denji to kill Aki and her killing Power in front of him. Remember how when Kishibe confronted Makima near the end she explained this power and mentioned that there were plenty of things only she can remember because of her Control powers. Like how she mentioned Nazis and Kishibe had no clue what they even were.

I could be wrong, but it seems like you forgot the list of things he erased from history in the first part of the story.

Technically, Denji could come back from being cut into pieces since he's a hybrid If Nayuta is dead, then that's that. And if she's actually dead, then Denji becomes miserable enough for Pochita to come back

This chapter was surreal and made me feel like a psychic for a second. When it showed the overhead view I thought "what if they served up Nayuta in parts on the sushi belt that would be freaky". Then it fucking happened.

They have created the despair in Denji to cause him to turn into black chainsaw man, it wouldn't have worked if they didn't kill Nayuta. But I think the main reason is that they want the black chainsaw man to eat the control devil. Ridding the world of the concept of control
