The 5/8-24 muzzle and the 750 Gas Block were my ideas for this barrel....ijs

SilencerCo has a m18x1.5 muzzle device, I have a SilencerCo Hybrid 46m and QD attachment so i went with that out of convenience. Aero makes a 0.750 and 0.875 gas block, aero upper, aero melonite gas tube, and aero handguard all fit just fine with my faxon barrel. Only issue is where the chamber tapers down is just wide enough that it fits the handguard just fine but doesn't allow you to use your QD mount point for your sling because it hits the barrel, nothing you can't fix with an m-lok QD rail mount attachment. The Faxon barrel should have came with a tapered shoulder so you could run whatever muzzle device you wanted, and Gorilla just dropped ammo for restock last Friday, too.

I have SICO on all my toys except the 8.6....why idk but i put a cherry bomb on it lol The xl cherry bomb doesn't work with normal cherry bomb stuff so I'm getting a SICO mount for my 8.6 soon enough

I’ve only run a box through my 8.6 BLK I built… but so far I love it! So yeah… SAAMI speccing won’t stop me from trying things to find what I enjoy… lol

I got some heated gloves (Neberon) for Christmas....... they are great... rechargeable battery.... keep your hands nice and toasty.... would love to try a vest.....

If the rumors are true about hornady doing a 8.6ARC, I'd probably get it over 8.6blk, just because it fits the AR15 platform. Now I am already invested in 9x39 and 350L for subsonic use, so idk if I will jump on the arc, but it would be nice to get a little larger projectile than 300blk, but still get a shoulder unlike the 350L. Also will have a smaller case diameter than 9x39.

Now if I ever stumble upon a MDR or RFB, then I'd probably do that in 8.6blk, but who knows on if you can even run a gas length that short in a micron. Definitely can't in a RFB. Of course you might be able to sleeve the barrel to the gas block, but that brings in a host of issues like journal mounting blocks.

I am working up loads with the 160gr TTSX right now myself. Accuracy so far is ok, but not as good as the 210gr TSX bullets yet.

Faxon uses M18x1.5 not to be confused with the similar M18x1.0

Hornady is probably going to win again by improving the 8.6BLK with a smaller case volume and 1:6.5/1:6 twist rate. The 1:3 is a drastic over correction for the previous slower twist rates in early cartridges and it will hurt Q/Faxon and co.

Faxon and SLR bout all there is. Most make a 12.5” that does not work for 12”. Fewer even make an 8”
