Was considering this mower and found your video. I googled the issue and came across others with the same issue over bumps. Seems specific to the 730v Kawaski motor not just exmark. They reported it was fixed by having the dealer install a "rough terrain" carb kit. Thanks for posting your videos

I totally understand your frustration! Intermittent electrical issues are the worst to troubleshoot. Most dealer mechanics lack the expertise of tracing down the root of the problem. Repair shops are becoming more and more part replacers until they finally fix the issue. In return, very time consuming and expensive. The end result is very disappointed customers.

Good rant, …thanks for the info. Appears to be a common dealer problem most every spring. Equipment only breaks when you use it! In May, turn the AC on - it goes south, every HVAC tech is in the field 16 hours a day, 7 days/week. And my farm equipment dealers are the same; go to the field in May and the mowers and balers start breaking. They just don’t have enough mechanics/techs to handle that spring tsunami! And we all know, techs aren’t created equal. Some excellent comments provided here that point to the fuel filter or possibly the carb. Maybe helpful to change the fuel filter each year, or use a funnel with a built in screen, then it's easy to see how dirty the fuel is. Something kind of related, is a few years back I started adding some Sea Foam (aka mechanic in a can) into all my gas tanks, both 2 and 4 cycle, each fill-up. Not cheap, but no more bad gas problems. Last thought is I went to a bulk fuel tank because of the crud I saw coming out of my 5 gal cans. Keep your pickup tube 1 - 2 inches off bottom. With the bulk tank, I pass the fuel through two filters, first is a 20 micron with water remover, and a 10 micron final filter. Bulk tank with filters and the Sea Foam has eliminated all my past fuel related problems. Good luck to all this season.

We bought a lazer last season and that thing has been nothing but problems for us. Luckily our dealer is pretty good. As far as your bogging out problems, we had a similar issue with one of our older exmark mowers. It ended up being the fuel filter and every time it was under any type of load it would bog down. It just wasn't getting enough fuel.

Stories like this makes my happy I went with Bradley mowers. I have no dealer nearby but I've heard so many stories like this, I went through this with Gravely. At least I can call the manufacturer now and they are more helpful than our local dealers would be. Hopefully you can get something that works for you before next season.

Detroit Metro Area: Weingartz dealers, which there are 3 of them near me, have always taken good care of me and my 2001 ExMark Lazer. My ExMark is over 22 years old and it's operating like the day we bought it, thanks to having it serviced annually by Weingartz.

My toro done the same.as you know it's exact same mower. Toro/exmark are legendary for bump cut offs.very typical and the company is aware of it. Has been discussed for years on lawnsite, lawn pros etc. Some say its the roll over sensor.which I never heard of. Its called sh1tty wiring. Notice I quit buying them years ago.i was all toro/exmark. thats bs that the other dealer wouldnt do anything under warranty for you. when i got my deere the first thing i did was ask my local dealer if they would look at it if need be. i bought the mower like 3 hours away in a different state and my local dealer said as long as the numbers are in the computer and its still has warrenty, any dealer should be able to work on it. when it comes to parts thats why i order everything online you can get it cheaper and a lot of the times quicker that way. plus my local dealer is like 35 miles away so there is that too. I can buy pretty much anything i would need for the mower when it comes to wear items locally. i can cross reference belts at any auto parts store, get oil filters, oil, plugs locally. anything else id order it online

Yeah my hubby had a issue thought it was solenoid or starter. My hubby and son looked at all the wires to make sure they weren't loose. Wasn't battery or starter or solenoid we think it was the starter they loaded it up and took it to Montgomery were thinking with all the bumping and jarring it freed up the starter. It's still under warranty for 2 more years. Told my husband it was the wires from the terminals that were loose say they tightened up an d it cranked up. We looked at all those making sure the weren't loose. So had to pay them 55.00 to lie to us cause my son asked what if it happened again and they told him you will have to bring it back for a new stater, so that right there tells me they are lying about work they done. The are as bad as Dixie Chopper.

FANTASTIC advice Tiggy Tiggy Tony!! You guys know I'm biased towards Exmark but, try your best to keep it. Supply Chain & Logistics is still way behind & you still might not be able to get anything different or if you run into problems with the new one parts will be backed up on those too. Either way I'm sorry you had to go though that with your dealer. Maybe look into getting a Toro Grandstand. Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!! #broinlawns!!

You might try giving exmark a call as a last effort first. See if they can't help you out. I had a similar issue with my exmark, related to the clutch cutting out. It was in and out of the shop. Finally figured it out. I actually just recently bought a toro grandstand multiforce because I didn't like the exmark staris and I didn't want to wait for the new exmark vertex and any kinks they needed worked out. Anyway, our toro dealer is great to work with. Much more helpful than the exmark dealer. But I am still a toro/exmark fan. Where are you again. I know you said Midwest one time, but can't remember. I am in central Illinois.

My only Exmark I have is my brand new stand on aerator. Well, it's for sale right now with only 10 hours on it lol. I don't like it. It's not comfortable for taller people. I am 6 foot. You can't stand straight and against the cushion. I wish I could try out machines before the huge investment. It's a $15K mistake. You are right about the cost of parts for Exmark. OMG, John Deere is even cheaper. You know I have been watching you for a while. I know you really liked the machine at first but yes, we learn the hard way after spending so much money. Dealer support is number one to me. Sounds like your dealer is now being a dick. I am really interested in checking out Ferris. You know I love my Green but I'm open to it. I have had problems with Stihl. Since April 2021 I have been waiting for a new replacement 94R K head, remember the one that was almost new, under warranty and manufacture defect which motor blew. I still don't have it. Dealer says its coming. Come on, really lol. I should of just stuck with Echo as that brand has always come through. Hope things work out for you. Trust me, John Deere is solid for machines and dealer support. Great video!
