이건 쓰레기같은 환경단체의 허수아비 때리기다. 해양 생태계 파괴의 압도적으로 가장 큰 원인은 남획되는 어업 문제이다. 이들이 매년 바다의 버리는 막대한 양의 조업 폐기물은 해양 파괴의 95% 이상을 차지할만큼 심각하다. 그러나 모든 환경단체는 3%에도 해당하지 않는 플라스틱 쓰레기에 대해서만 언급한다. 그 이유는 그들이 환경 단체를 운영하는데 나오는 후원금의 대부분이 조업 기업으로부터 나오기 때문이다. 착각하지마라. 지금부터 인류가 모든 플라스틱 쓰레기를 바다에 방류하는 것을 하지 않는다고 해도 해양 생태계는 지금과 똑같은 속도로 파괴될 것이다. 왜냐하면 해양 생태계 파괴의 원인은 전술한 것들이기 때문이다.
