After 2 days of the toughest work I've ever put myself through, I thought I had met my match and wouldn't be able to finish. I spent 18 hours at this property, got blisters all over my hands, and my muscles felt like jello. Welcome to my most grueling cleanup yet.

I hate to see you struggling. It seems to me that when the curb is so thick that it would pay to run over it with the mower first. That would likely break it up some at least. Also, I have seen a cool attachment on a Stihl machine. It is a stiff bristled brush about 24 to 30 inches wide. It spins like an edger, as opposed to horizontally like a trimmer. I saw one video where it was used. Pretty amazing.

@SB Mowing : Advice from this retired landscaper is to wrap friction areas with athletic tape beforehand. Bend your hand and fingers into the grip you will be using most and gently go twice around the areas that will get the most friction with the tape for a double layer. Press in gently for the adhesive tape to stick and then put gloves on over that. I've never had a blister. Works on hiking poles, too. Keep a roll of tape in your truck so you can take off the old dirty layers for lunch and then start over fresh.

I can't get over the little touches this house has. It's obvious this was once someone's home and they were very proud of it. You can see what it used to be. A beautiful white house with blue trim, matching shutters and a bright red door. Those little decorative white stones placed around the front. The pretty paving stones edging the front walk. The white lattice shading the ramp. The well built roof over the side door. The pond that once sat pride of place out front for all to see. Someone once loved this house very much and whoever they were I'm sure they appreciated everything you did.

I watched this video a month ago, but I watched it again because I couldn't believe what it took for you to accomplish this one. As someone old enough to be your grandmother you need to find better gloves, better covering over your face so you don't breathe the dirt or whatever is in those clouds of dust.. The lawn reminded me of prairie grass when I lived in Kansas City, MO. Be safe, stay well & still watching in Albuquerque,New Mexico. Hope you kept the puppy.

Spencer, every time I watch one of your videos, I'm highly impressed by how meticulous you are. The yards look amazing when you're done. I can't believe how much you're able to accomplish by hand. I wish I could afford to buy you some sort of mechanized scraper instead of you having to shovel so much dirt by hand. That's GOT to be hard on your back and arms. God bless you for all you do, and thank you to BetterHelp for sponsoring your video. If anyone deserves to be sponsored, it's SB Mowing. Watching you and knowing you're doing it for free inspires me to think of ways I could help others.

What never gets mentioned is how grateful the neighbors must be to have this done and to alleviate the eyesore of a neighborhood. Makes me wonder why the city doesn't get involved. Around here you get ticketed for this neglect and if ignored the city comes and cleans it up and sends you a bill.

you got to think though, some would disagree with the work he doing he making property values go up and hurting those who are already suffering from price hikes, plus the neighbour may even have to pay more now do to it, have you not heard where some will fire a gun every month in there neighborhood just to keep pricing reasonable, perseverance and enjoyable to see and watch yes , commendable? mm he hurting other fanicalily so that iffy most think it an eye sore and want it gone or not think of the aftermath or just, he cut grass it look good, and not the after effect it will cause the only way he could hurt other pockets more to live there is if he fixed up the house too. then everyone wonder why there so many homeless bah bah bah. just enjoy the video make light to cover other from thinking the damage he doing so they enjoy their day but don't say it worth HIGH praise, praise from some, but not on a commendable statues level save that for war vets who risking life so you keep living and not someone actively screwing other over without being paid for it. that house most likely shot up from 1k to 10k just from that with how prices been lately and make it shoot out of the price range of anyone with disabilities.
