Yes, stop losses need to be set, whether hard or mental, BEFORE entering the trade. When i was able to do this, my consistency improved greatly! My blind spot is that I'm still not seeing and trading trends correctly, but getting better! I've been journaling almost a year to help, 4 years too late lol! Thank you!

Learn the times the charts move, good R/R, alerts, know where liquidity is, chart time, know candle body and wick signals. On the 5m a lot of times the candles will tell you what is coming, always wait for that candle to close before you enter, VERY important as it can go from engulfing bearish, to long wick bullish all within 10 secs. Cheers and good luck! PS. Indicators are only there to distract you, think of them like a bad social media app. lol. I only use Asia sessions indicator and 1 or 2 lines on my chart. Clean AF to spot my targets AKA liquidity down to the pip.

Thank you for your knowledge and being able to share it with us. I started trading last week, so pretty much I'm a baby in this world. Made mistakes and lost money which was expected. In my opinion, it is ok to loose if you learn from it. So basically, until you learn to be good in this profession, every month take a certain amount of money that wont affect your life or be something to cry about if you loose it, and imagine that it's the only money you have left to trade with. In my case, it helped me a lot to do self control, to know when to go in and out, still far away from perfect but every small step counts as long as it's in the right direction.

You think of it the wrong way around. You've avoided losses. If you're not sure of the market, or hesitant it's because of 1 of 2, or both things. First is you don't have confidence in your strategy, so backtest it more, forward test it more, simulate it more, marry it, make love to it and have children with it if you wish, but gain confidence in your strategy. Or 2, you just don't know and regardless of the result of the trade, it isn't consistent and as such, unlikely to be replicated again, and again... ie, your chances of losing are higher. A winner on a gamble is bad. Gives a confirmation bias. "Made 20% on this guess" that was luck and consistently being lucky isn't likely

What is the best timeframe to use? When i use 30 min time frame it shows upward but if i use 2-4h timeframe it shows downward and if i use 1week timeframe it shows upward,,, How can we understand this trick?

I have lost over 300k by no using a stop loss. It is true that you may be stopped out more often than not and you would rather not be, but there are instances where you are stopped and afterwards market moves another 7-8% and you would have lost major capital. Stop losses are mandatory to stay in the market long term.
