I almost froze to death, but here's some GEVOs!

Average temperature in this was about -6f (coldest one was the UP ACe southbound at -8) so really not that cold. The windchill, however... that gave it a real-feel of about -15. I usually wouldn't be as wimpy but it went from being in the 30s to below 0 in a day so I had no time to get used to it. Now, it's spring again (it was 40 today, in January, in Minnesota). This weather is something else bro...

I believe that if a train has GEVOs or just GEs, there should be an EMD as the leading unit

YOOOOOOOOOOOO!! I got UPDATES for the STEAM ENGINE! May 11th, national Train Day, 332 will be fired up that day to be on display! June 8th & 9th, Sept 14 & 15, October 26, 27. Hope to see you at National Train Days! Steam crew (myself included) are very excited to see all of you!

Out here on the southern transcon, even seeing any EMD is out of the ordinary, 9 out of 10 trains out here are all GE
And I who thought that 9 degrees Fahrenheit in my area was cold... 💀

I mean- it’s not a TOTAL loss haha. Got some SD70’s in there and the first time I’ve ever seen an ACE-T4 as a pusher on the rear. Turbo sounds pretty nice with it. (At least you’re not like me who can only go to one place to get three GEVOes on a train at a time from one single railroad where barely any Foreign power visits 😅)

There was A time 6 months ago when there wasn't many GEVOs, and If you get really bored of GEVOs go railfan A shortline if you can.

Yep, that and they have a border with a rubber gasket that separates the nose from the cab. (It also rests on a thick border by the electrical cabinets). It’s pretty distinguishable
