Pickle looks just as loving, fulfilled, and happy as any HEARING dog. He just can't hear obnoxious people complain or tone deaf people sing badly. So maybe he is even happier!

We has a blind since birth cat. She left us after 16 and a half love filled years. She was truly a light in our lives. Please consider adopting a rescue that might not be considered perfect. I guarantee that with a little time and a lot of love, you will have a wonderful, loyal companion.

Aw, Pickles and Lily. Young lady, you are an inspiration for your understanding, compassion and love. Those mountains are stunning; you are fortunate to live in such a spacious area with few people. (No cement buildings, no store after store after store, no cars flying around).

I had a deaf dog a rescue and she was absolutely amazing

All those people who passed this amazing dog by had no idea what they were missing, but I'm glad they did because he ended up with the absolutely most wonderful person he could ever hope for.

I adopted a deaf puppy, didn't know it at the time but figured it out in a few days. By then, we were attached. That was 10 years ago. It has challenges but we love him.

I adopted an old deaf dog. Best dog I ever loved. She took right to a few hand signals pretty fast.

We had a DEAF cat ,decades ago. Pure White, long silky hair n Crystal Blue eyes. Smart n spolied. Really couldn't tell she was deaf.

I've had a deaf dog & a blind dog. Both were amazing. They adjust better than humans do! I'd say the deaf one was easier than the blind one, though, from a training perspective. Both were senior Huskies. ❤❤❤❤

Training a dog is so important. It not only establishes you as the alpha but it also changes their behavior. They take their cues from their alpha. You lead, they will follow and, they would die protecting you. It's a very powerful bond. There's nothing that compares.

We've been blessed with three rescued homogenous albino pups born deaf and blind in one eye over the last 20+ years ! The first two dumped in two different mountain passes (4 years apart) as puppies and survived a long time before being found (around 6mos old) and our current Boy never had a home and was in a small town shelter in a different state, for over 9mos. and no one would adopt him. He was 5yrs old when we rescued him, now 9yrs and still has a lot of PTSD from his previous life, but has gotten so much better ! We love him and special pups are the best ! I'll add too, that our first Girl was only said to live to 8yrs (by the vet) , BUT, our 80+lb Girl lived a wonderful life to 16yrs !!! I have to add too that they are just "normal" dogs (and our norm!) although we have never let them off lease. We have a big fenced yard and go on walks. 🙂 And, Spoil !
