This is why I like Liam. People make fun of his content, hate it, fairly criticize it, revile against it… and he turns it into a joke and/or a teaching/talking point. It feels very disconnected, mostly because it feels like he doesn’t take it too personally and would rather respond in a subjective way. He knows he isn’t here for a long time, he is here for a good time; let’s just enjoy fantasy pirates while it lasts.

Personally I think that the humour in your videos is what makes your videos different from other onepiece youtubers. For that reason I'd still be watching you even if you weren't a onepiece youtuber That chopper video was absolutely hilarious, laughed all the way through it.

I actually first watched His HxH videos but i loved it so much i needed more once i ended all Of those videos Then i started watching the OP channel even though i didn't care and didn't know anything about OP nowadays im a really big fan

I can’t believe some people are just so unhappy with life that they feel the need to rip on your lovely chapter reviews which are honestly a breath of fresh air compared to most other peoples.

It's a curious thing, because you truly want to to tell people that if they don't like it, don't watch it, but that just tends to come off as aggressive? Really though, it is more of a pleading thing. Why do so many people continue to engage with content they clearly dislike/hate? Please stop doing that to yourselves, for your own sakes.

I need more videos like this in my life. I love the dry humor.

Personally your humour and personality which so many of these redditors hate is what makes you my favourite one piece youtuber along with Ohara. Snappy fun videos with sarcastic humour is what I love and as a casual one piece reader I much prefer 10-20 minute reviews that cover all the important points along with a great presentation rather than multiple hour long analysis of the smallest pen stroke in the smallest panel.

This is legitimately one of my favorite channels. I think it's because of your theatre/theater background and how you analyze things from a storytelling perspective. It's really cool to see such an analytical mindset applied to something as undeniably ridiculous as fictional pirates.

for what its worth i love your opinions in reviews you talk about things that almost always get overlooked in others reviews. i find the most entertaining parts of your videos arent when its about the story, but when you shed much needed light on things like panel composition, literary devices, and other details. truely one of the most entertaining creators on this site.

I am not a fan of reading mangas when Im currently watching an anime, I prefer to wait every week for a chapter but when I discovered your channel and saw the amount of discussions and theories I couldn't get involved with because I refused to read the manga, I decided to finally read it and I love waiting for every chapter every week and see what the community (that includes you) think about the chapter, really love your content, keep it up

I’m a relatively new One Piece fan and only caught up fully back in april/may. I gotta say you’re the only OP youtube I watch regularly. You put a lot of humour which forces me to not turn my brain off and actually listen to what you’re saying for the best enjoyment of the video. I watch others too but you’re the only one I go back and watch previous videos just cause you actually make them a “video” and not a pseudo podcast. I especially like the seperate videos you do on only viewer comments for chapters too. I think just keep doing what you’re doing

I love the humor in the videos and the One Piece chapter videos not being just a recap of what I just read. But one of the biggest things for me is GLR doesn't over react to chapters and is a genuine reaction.

It’s easy to sit down and discuss something ur a fan of. When something as big as one piece is ur love and their r tons of others who do similar content it can b hard to stand out or grow but I personally want this channel to succeed if only because I enjoy just about every video Liam puts out.

One thing I do miss from GLR is the comments on the Mangas.. artistic stuff - it's what made the channel stand above the rest for me more than any other thing.

After Film Red I watched his video ranking all the one piece movies, and it was kinda... Lackluster. He definitely improved

you and your style of videos are my favourite since i discovered youtube. keep up the good work. i love the humor and the funny art of op charackters. your videos arent the normal boring bs everybody is doing. your GLR videos are the only videos i really "watch", most other videos run on my second monitor while gaming.

I really love Granline Review for the humor and personality. In the end it is you, who makes the content so entertaining. Keep up the good work. After I've read the new chapter, I'm mostly looking forward to the Grandline Review video to see your opinion on it. I don't know why some people don't get it, that most of the time it's only a spoiler, if you already know the context... Without context of the chapter it self most images are not really anything that can be seen as a spoiler.

I got so hype to see this channel Liam is my favorite KZreadr in general. Grand line review literally pushed me to read manga when it started the manga reviews and I’ve been getting into hunter x hunter just so I get more content on his other channel

I've been saying the same thing about the use of the word 'review' meaning recap for some people. I'm used to using the word the same way you talked about it and I hate recaps unless they cover a lot of details I might've missed. There are people like tekking who do mostly recaps but he does recaps with so much detail and personality that they're really engaging. Thanks for bringing up this topic.

in my honest opinion I'd say your underrated asf. Your just so unique in the best way.

Ironically I first discovered your channel after watching O'Hara's "best one piece theory" video. I really appreciated your subjective opinion about the whole thing. Since then I have been a loyal follower of your channel and have gone back and reviewed your early content as well. Simply put it's awesome and your awesome "back to you...me" makes me laugh everytime I hear it and sometimes I really need to laugh. Keep putting out awesome content and hilarious cartoons. Keep the laugh tales coming.

Really enjoy your work, and this kinda insight is always fun to see. Side note: if you dislike the word review nowadays, maybe try "revue" for the channel names? Won't change how people say the name and it's still catchy.

tbh you're the only One Piece channel I make time to watch. I like the chapter reviews, I like the discussion videos, and I like when you go through comment sections looking for new thoughts & angles about some aspect of the series. I think you have a great casual, personable delivery and it feels like an actual conversation. I appreciate a light, dry humor in videos, and even re-watching older videos makes for good background noise while I'm doing chores or whatever. The only thing that does bother me is how so many videos have titles like, "I can't believe Oda would do this!" or "This changes One Piece FOREVER!" because if I want to go back and watch old videos, I have no idea what those ones are about (and let's be honest, they are usually straight hyperbole). But I also notice that it seems like everyone does that, so I guess it's just how you have to play the KZread game. If I were ever going to post a comment complaining about thumbnails/titles, well, I guess this is that comment. But at least it's on-subject for this video! Whatever, I'm gonna keep watching, commenting if I have something to say, and I will also never stop enjoying your very simple mini-games (the rules of which are as follows).

I'm another huge fan Liam! I love watching your shows while im cooking. In fact whenever a new chapter comes out I find out first from your reviews. Also I got hooked on your old devil fruit encyclopedia videos. Plus I love how your the biggest buggy fan in the one piece fan base. So don't stop doing your shows and just ignore those trolls. Liam's Humor and Personality are what makes him my favorite Onepiece KZreadr followed by Ohara and Joygirl, which reminds me that I haven't watched Blue Banana for 2 months now, Blue Banana podcast is great btw, keep doing those floppy jokes, I need them to sustain my weekly injections of Onepiece

I still love your videos a lot and I also know that I'll always learn something new from your videos about one piece but I have to admit that I'm getting bored with the titles, once in a while it's nice and it does pick my interest when I see titles like "oda just drop a bombshell" or "one piece just went insane" but having those every single week makes me less and less curious even if it is true that one piece is insane every week. It loses its effect the more I see it.

I read the chapter, enjoy it, then go the GLR to get a different view of the chapter with you "review". It's very helpful because no one around me likes One Piece and I can't talk to them about it. The videos help me get a different perspective and incite on things I didn't notice. I love your videos! Keep making them the way you want because it works.

Watching early Grandlinereview (10k subs) is what convinced me to get into One Piece. I did spoil most of the series for myself, and I love that I did! There’s nothing like actually experiencing the big moments of One Piece as they unfold on the page. I can understand why you may feel a bit sheepish about those early videos Liam, but I think I will always feel a sense of nostalgia for the formula of your early work that introduced me to many of the characters and concepts of One Piece. I remember thinking that your early work on the channel was really succeeding conceptually and I knew your channel was going to grow. I know how artists/creators can be with escalating standards but I those videos really had something so organic and special in them that gave your channel the momentum to grow into what it is today. I think that’s the core of where this misplaced Reddit outrage is coming from. Your content has evolved to become less derivative, better edited, and more sustainable. Like you’ve been saying on this channel: you’ve really found your niche on KZread, but there’s a reason that people are passing your old videos around to introduce One Piece characters and concepts to each other. There’s basically nothing on the internet like those videos that make up a sort of one piece encyclopedia. Those are the videos that made One Piece feel palatable to me, and I’m sure there are others like me that were inspired to start the series from the beginning after those early videos made a really good case that they should do so. So many anime/manga fans know that One piece is big but they don’t understand the appeal and are intimidated by its massive size. Grandlinereview brought from that camp and made me a fan, and I’m so happy I get to see Oda make history with weekly chapters. The main lesson that your channel taught me is that one piece fans don’t want one piece to end because it’s not actually about the one piece. It’s about the adventure.

I look forward to your video sometimes before sleeping i would watch your video to end the day on a good note. Thank you and keep it up
