Sorry to hear. Word of advice, try serviced apartments if you want something cheaper than 4/5 star hotels. The cheap hotel you tried to book appears to be geared towards foreign workers.

happened to me too, in Vietnam.

I dont trust agoda. 😅 Same thing happen to me and my friend around november this year. Juat book a hotel on the platform like usual. Payment already made 3 weeks prior check in. When we arrived hotel claimed that they do not received any booking from agoda side. Thats ok we'll find another hotel.thank god we found 1. But to generalized all the hotel are same was wild 😅

Agoda is my go to hotel site, but at least they refunded me after their "investigation" I told them I have photos of the padlock and table blocking the entrance. Lol

It is like any where in the world. You pay for cheap you get cheap! You need to pay more to get qaulity!

Sorry to hear about your experience. Please do get your facts right, there are many good hotels, up to 6 stars, in Kuala Lumpur. Most Malaysians speak English too, Seems like you are picking out budget hotels, attempting to speak to foreign workers(probably Bangladeshi) in Kuala Lumpur and generalising based on that.

Ofc there are good 6 star hotels. The difference is the budget hotels are bad in KL. Just about every one I've ever stayed in was terrible. Budget hotels in Vietnam or Thailand are clean and great service.

Sorry for the experience. But no offense you booked a cheap a$$ place and should have checked in advance with those kind of places geared towards workers and migrants. KL not having great hotels? LoL it has some brilliant hotels but like everywhere you have to pay for it. Try St Regis with your own butler, Four seasons, Grand Hyatt, or even EQ. Want quality top end hotels? Sure, but be prepared to pay for it :) I understand you might be on a budget but that kind of statement ie KL has no decent hotels, is just not factually true.

Absolutly correct. KL has so many top tier 5 star hotels and it's one of the cheapest in the world. I always stay at JW Marriott, JW Marriott in Hong Kong is more than triple the price.

@@AltezzaRS correct. I actually don't like the JW or Westin, only cause of the busyness of the location and traffic. Though it too is great location in it's own rights cause of Pavilion Mall and others around, plus all the food and stuff around. But that's just personal preference and differs person to person.

lol, You're looking for a cheap hotel, you deserve a junk hotel, if you pay more, you get a good hotel, but the problem is you're poor but acting rich.
